going to be in the world Aug 30-Sept 5, and I guess there are no openings for 'Ohana the entire week, anyone else find this to be a problem too??

Hi, we are staying at POP from Aug 30th - September 8. We were able to get in on our last night there on the 7th for 7 people at 6:30p.m. That was the only night I tried to get it though. I would keep calling daily and hope someone cancels. We have never been there yet but have heard it is good. Good Luck!

I'm there Sept 5th-12th. I just made my ADRs this morning. There were two nights that 'Ohana was available but one was at 8:55pm and the other was 9:30pm. I originally made the 8:55 but called back and cancelled...that's just too late for us after a hot day in the parks. I really want to try 'Ohana for dinner but not when I am tired and cranky!!!

We have a great many reports about Ohana being either unavailable for dinner or only available for late dinners. It's one of the most popular dinner restaurants in WDW.

We will be there the same exact time except we will be leaving on the 6th. I couldn't get it either but got some help and now we are booked for 5:00 on Wednesday the 2nd.

Going 8/30 - 9/7...got Ohanas for 9/6 @ 6:30...I actually wanted in on 9/1 but there were no openings at least for a table of 2.

we were offered one at 830 in the evening, far to late to eat and enjoy, so we passed.
Will try our luck when we get there....ya never know

one can hope, right??

Late dinners are actually pretty nice there. Durring Wishes they pipe in the same audio that is played in the MK and dim the lights and if you are lucky enough to be close to a window you can get a great view of the fireworks.

When we ate there, we got a 9:10 reservation. It was late, but turned out wonderful since we got to sit back and watch the MK fireworks as they piped the story through the sound system. We just ate a later lunch knowing it was going to be late before we could eat.

Ohana is a very popular restaurant and early September is in the heart of the free dining promotion, so I'm not surprised. I often have to be a little flexable when booking Ohana for dinner, even at the 180 day mark.

The best advice I can offer is that you should keep calling/checking online because slots do open up sometimes!

I feel blessed; I booked our last minute vacation on July 7th for the first week of August and managed to get an ADR at Ohana for 5:15 pm. I'm sure being that this is the last week before free dining has something to do with it.

We will be @ WDW 8/22-8/30. The only Ohana dinner that was available was 9:50. I turned it down.:confused3

I'm going from 8/27 to 9/5 and I only got a dinner ADR thanks to a fellow DISer who canceled. Otherwise, there were a couple of nights with real late times (after 9pm - too late for us) available.

You have to keep trying alot during the day because you never know when there will be a cancellation. Last year i would go online ALOT and checked all day long for cancellations, it was like a game to me. In the end i got EVERYTHING i wanted and the early times i wanted. You have to be very persistent even if this means checking late at night or very very early morning.

Keep trying it took me 3 weeks of trying until a spot came open. Will be there 1 week from today for dinner!

Just keep trying up until you leave and also when you get there..You may have to take a earlier or later time or rearrange some plans but its worth it! Couldnt get it last yr so this yr it was one of my first ADR I made next to Le Cellier! Good Luck! Oh and last yr since I couldnt get Ohana I booked Kona b/c I just have to have atleast one meal at the Poly on our first night, its a family tradition!

I agree. Just keep trying. We went to WDW in June and it was sort of a last minute trip. We were on the QSDP and the only TS I wanted was Ohana. I originally booked a 8:45 which was pretty late but I figured we would be there to see the fireworks. I kept checking about twice a day. One day (about 3 weeks before) I checked in the morning and they had nothing and I checked again that night and found a 5:00 and a 5:15 to choose from. We changed our ressie to 5:15 and it was awsome.

Keep trying, I know it can be frustrating, but people cancel all the time.

I will be there 8/29-9/7 and made dining reservations at exactly 180 days, each day for 9 days because we hadnt even made our resort res yet. The first day I tried for Ohana it was not available, but the next I got it I think for 9/2 at about 6:30PM. We ate there last year and loved it. Keep trying someone may cancel.
