Great response - how phony and canned can you get!!!

Dear Jason,

Thank you for contacting WALT DISNEY WORLD!

We would like to assure you that our goals for providing a happy and unique experience in our theme parks, water parks and Resorts have remained constant throughout the years. WALT DISNEY WORLD continues to be an outstanding vacation
experience. One of the ways in which we attempt to maintain this goal is to continually evaluate the various aspects of our operation and make changes at times. Occasionally, seasonal adjustments are made based on actual Guest
demand; however, it is always our goal to provide a quality "show" for our Guests.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Please advise why you still have days of closure for Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon in May, 2003. That is prime water park season and I do not understand why the parks are alternating closure during this time.

This is definitely lowering the value of a Walt Disney World vacation.

Also, whilst on the subject if you are considering closing one of the major parks in some similar rotation scheme, you can count at least some of my vacation time and $$$ in Orlando to be spent elsewhere.

Regards,
Jason

Perhaps resort bookings are VERY low, people are starting to cancel now because of SARS as well as the war. Cypress Gardens has gone out of business effective today, according to the article their monthly guest counts have dropped over 42K from the same month last year, it is devasting to a park that size...if Disney even has had a fraction of that downturn in the water parks, no wonder they are alternating closures. I'm sorry you won't be able to enjoy the water parks, but it could be MUCH worse.

Cypress Gardens was the best known theme park in Florida prior to the opening of WDW.
