We flew YHZ-PIE last week of February..
Booked with Air Transat, and flew down woth Canjet, and back with AT.
Weighed, measured, denied, got to repack.
We each had a roller duffle to check - all underweight.
Our boys had their Roots knapsacks and a roll on each, I had my purse and a roll on.
The purse got weighed, and was over.
Size was fine.
The knapsacks were weighed, and were over.
Sizes were fine - their school books weigh a ton
All rollers were fine, and weight ok too.
Knapsacks didn't count as a "personal items"
To summarize, we were a party of 3, trying to fly with 6 carryons.
They don't like that
DH ended up taking one roller with him that I repacked into the checked bags, one knapsack and contents went into another checked bag, as did my purse, minus the critical stuff.
2 rollers, one knapsack, 3 people, and my wallet went onto the plane cabin
Coming back with AriTransat, I was better prepared - to pay for my overweight bags
Good luck!!
