Candy for CM's?

This is such a great idea and I never would have thought of doing this.

For those that have done this in the past how many snack bags do you think you need to get through an 8 night cruise? My daughter would love putting together snack bags and handing them out.

You NEED zero. If you choose to bring something, I'd strongly suggest doing something for an "unrecognized" sort of department. I do suspect that the tipped positions, the Youth Activities staff, and maybe the theater staff get more goodies than they'd like to see. I can attest that the guy in the yellow jumpsuit may not speak English, but if you hand him a fun sized candy bar, his smile says it all.

We usually fill one entire carry-on bag with snacks to share. That way we have an 'empty' one to bring home all of the goodies that we acquire. Each day, we loaded up our bag & handed stuff out as we encountered people.
For our servers (whom we have had twice!!! LOVE Savio & Duran) in a round-about way (discussion of "favorites") we asked them what their favorite snacks were, then my hubby went to WalMart in PV to get what they liked best (peanut M&M's, Lay's potato chips & Reese's).
Also, this is NEVER done in lieu of a generous monetary tip - it's just one happy little way to give back some of the joy that these hard working people bring to us.

Has anyone confirmed the availability of a microwave for the crew?? I like the idea of microwave popcorn packs in lieu of candy. (won't melt, less allergy issues) I can also add a 'label' to the outside with a 'thank you' note.
