By request, the candy exchange is now open, and taking sign ups. This is a $10.00 exchange before shipping charges. You can send your pal chocolates, hard candies, any type of CANDY.

Sign ups will be till Wed. 2/25, with names handed out by Thurs. 2/26. The send by date will be Mon. 3/9.

If you will be away during the exchange period, please let me know when signing up. Also, I ask that everyone PLEASE keep up with this thread, and the sent/recieved thread, and post regularly so that I can keep track of the exchanges as they are sent/recieved.

Also, PLEASE be on time when sending out your exchanges.

Hello, everyone. I have never participated in an exchange before, but it sounds like fun. I would like to do this one. However, I have some questions. I send my information to mommyoftwo. Then does she send me someone else's information and I then send goodies to that person? That sounds like a person to person exchange. Am I correct? Also, what other type of exchange is there?
Now, about candy. If chocolate is sent does it ever melt? Do you need to pack chocolate a certain way to make sure it does not?I realize it may still be chilly most parts of the world, but in Texas chocolate would melt outside right now.
Cost... I see this a $10 exchange. Do some go over? If I send $10 worth will I feel terrible when I receive $20 worth of candy in return? If I agree to this I will abide by the rules set, I just know how easy it is to get caught up in something like this and go overboard.

Yes, you would send me your info., and once the sign ups have closed, I will send each person info. on someone else. Then you send out your exchange by the send by date, and post on the sent/received thread when you send out, and when you recieve your exchange.
The only requirement is $10.00 worth of candies. If you or anyone else go beyond that, it is fine but not necessary.
Some people may request no chocolates if it does not ship well to their states, if people have allergies they would specify it on their sign up...so just take a look at your pal's info. and see what it says.
As of right now since the sign up numbers are small, it might be a person to person exchange, and it sometimes is like even though the exchange has many people involved, but it all depends on who is able to send within the U.S., and internationally, and such. So, you may receive from the same person you sent to, or you may not. It is a surprise to see who you had received your goodies from, and what you received . And, it is fun to go shopping as well.
As for other exchanges, take a look on this board to see what other exchanges were held, or on the top there is a sticky that has upcoming exchanges. There are always exchanges that just pop up that are not on that link, so visit here often to see what is going on .
