DD would like some Candy Corn when we visit soon. I've never seen it in Australia, only as pictures from Halloween posts in previous years. So, can anyone tell me, what is it???:confused3

Candy corn is a very popular candy here in the states, especially around Halloween. It is my favorite! Yum, Yum. You should defintely be able to buy Candy Corn in DL while you are there.

Here is the definition along with a picture:

its so good its sweat and ornge and yellow and black and its like the halloween candy well it use to be we always had it at the partys we went to as kids. its so yummy but as always make sure take tooth brushs must get it off as soon as you get to the hotle room lol but thats with all sweets

Thanks all, I'll let her try some. I'm not too sure that she will like it heaps, as DD has a "semi-sweet" tooth!! :lmao: For example, one or two licks of an all-day sucker/lollypop is enough for her. I told her as long as she keeps up her fruit & veg whilst away, we'll let her try lots of different treats.

I have an unfortunate candy corn addiction. It is VERY sweet, though! Avoid "flavored" varieties; I've found that plain candy corn is the best. :) Enjoy!

To me the best way to describe it is kinda sweet and buttery flavored. Sounds good right now!

But a handful to the mouth makes one sMiLe all day long!

I don't like them. They are just like those sugary jelly beans at Easter that have no real flavor to them. :rotfl: (I'm not talking about Jelly Bellies, those are great! )

But, I always believe in trying new things! :thumbsup2

I don't like candy corn ALONE, but if you want to try something delicious, mix candy corn and regular/salted peanuts. YUM YUM YUM. Put a handful in your mouth and chew it together - it tastes like a payday candy bar! And of course with the peanuts, you get the added value of protein, right? :confused3

Candy corn just tastes like pure sugar to me. I like it around halloween but I can't eat much at one time.

Candy corn is great! Though it is REALLY sweet. There is a variation on it called Indian Corn that has some chocolate flavored candy in it that I enjoy too. If you come in October the California Adventure sign is done up in candy corn. It's fun!

You should try Orange Slices too, yummy yumsters!! And Tootsie Rolls!!

Candy corn is so popular in the US that they also make a red, pink, and white version for Valentine's Day and "reindeer" (red, green, and white) corn for Christmas. I second the idea of stocking up on some because that stuff lasts for a loooong time.

Candy corn is the BEST candy ever :thumbsup2 I try to bite each color off one at a time....:rotfl2:

This is how I do it!! LOL I LOVE candy corn, you should see me after Halloween trying to buy bags and bags of it at 75% off! LOL I'm a bit obsessed.....LOL I love Indian corn too....mmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm so glad it's almost Halloween!!

I'm not too keen on it. Some people here though will probably start calling blasphemy at me when I say that I've still got about 2 handfulls of it at home in my cupboard from when I visited in March...

It is just sugar really, no real taste. This coming from someone who has a massive sweet tooth, and loves eating sugar cubes... :confused3

Phew!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who chomps one color at a time....;) Awesome! :thumbsup2
