Hi everyone- Staying at the Candy Cane Inn in a couple of weeks and have a couple of questions about the shuttle. I know its "walking distance" but that's not an option for at least one person in our party so we will definitely be using the shuttle.

The website says it runs every half hour "during park hours". I love being there at rope drop...does it run before the park opens so we can get there in time for that? We have annual passes so we won't have early entry.

Where does the shuttle drop off at Disneyland?

Is the shuttle usually on time?

Is it ever full?

We are really looking forward to our stay here and would love any feedback!

Hi Drceblle :) Candy Cane is where I always stay when spending a night at DL. Rooms are always spotless and the staff so friendly, I hope you have a wonderful trip! The shuttle is usually on time. It picks up to head to Disneyland on the hour and half hour. It comes back to the hotel :15 and :45. (I hope this is not backwards)! The one downside is the drop off spot is at the very end at #13. So you do still have a walk to security. I am not a rope drop person so am not able to answer for sure. I seem to remember a driver saying the shuttle's last pick up is an hour after closing. So maybe the same is true at opening? I don't know. Hope this helps :) P.S. There have been a few times with a fuller shuttle but I have always gotten a seat.

CCI shuttle starts 30 minutes before park opening and on days with DL Magic Mornings, it starts at 30 minutes before MM. So if DCA an DL open at the same time (as they often do) you can take the shuttle 90 minutes before DCA opens.

When I am doing rope drop I like to get to the DL or DCA gates 30 minutes before park opening. And 40-45 minutes if there is something new. The CCI shuttle does not support that which is kind of a bummer but just how it works. I usually plan on being at the DL gates 15-20 minutes before RD when using CCI as that is as early as possible. For DCA on DL MM days it depends you can take an early shuttle and get to DCA gates 45 minutes early if you want.

My advice if you really want to get to DL more than 20 minutes before RD? Use Uber.

As the PP said, it is down at the end of the bus drop-offs. Sometimes if no one is around they drive may let you out closer to the gates.

Is the shuttle usually on time?
In my experience it runs like clockwork. Always on time.

Is it ever full?
Not really but it depends.

They have a big bus size shuttle and I have never had a problem with that being full in the sense there is not room for everyone. On our trip last month we stayed at CCI and a few times when a driver was on a meal break that had a junior person drive who I think is not qualified to drive the big bus. So he drove their 7-person van. When he did that he would make several trips back and forth because the waiting group had more than 7 people. I was in the van twice last month but when I was, the group always happened to be 7 or less so no one had to wait.

You’ll love CCI!

Yes I believe the first shuttle is 30 mins before regular park opening (not MM). I was at DCA for rope drop after taking the shuttle.

It drops off near where you see the Toy Story buses drop off and pick up. Same pick up area.

I have seen it at about 75% capacity at the most. I’ve gone off season mostly though.

Enjoy your trip!

Really good info! Thank you all...I feel like I know what to expect now and that will definitely help with my planning!
I am really excited to try this hotel. This will be our last trip on our APs (womp womp) and I bet I'll be kicking myself for not staying here before!
Thanks again! You all are always so helpful!
