We are coming to DL for the half marathon in Sept, and I am considering both the Candy Cane Inn and the Fairfield Inn as potential places to stay. My question is: Does the Candy Cane Inn have a jacuzzi in its pool area? After the race, our legs are certain to be sore and nothing helps like a soak in a hot tub! I know that the Fairfield has one, but they do not provide breakfast, which the Candy Cane does. I would appreciate any information you can give me!

I like both locations. Candy Cane serves breakfast and has free parking. It also has a shuttle which is very reliable. They do have a spa. They have 2 comfortable queen beds.

While Fairfield does not serve breakfast, there is a breakfast area with toasters where you can buy cereal, bread, juices, fruit, etc on the second floor. They charge for parking. The rooms have 2 comfortable queens, with a pull out chair that makes for a bed for a small child. Wifi is slightly more reliable at Fairfield. And there is a Mimi's and McDonalds right there.

I believe that CCI does have a Jacuzzi by the pool.

My BIL stayed there last year and really enjoyed it.....it was reasonable in price, very clean and had beautiful grounds.

I've stayed at both and like them both for different reasons. They both have a jacuzzi. Yes CCI has a breakfast included and it is a pretty good one (includes proteins like yogurt not just baked goods) but Fairfield is so close to fast and cheap breakfasts (i.e. IHOP) that I find both convenient in that respect. I have only ever stayed on the top floor facing the parks at Fairfield Inn and loved having such a great fireworks view right outside my room. I also liked how close Fairfield is for walking into the parks (really like a 5 min walk). But I like the room decor and general landscaping better at CCI. It is more comfortable and relaxing, and they have a very reliable shuttle that leaves on the half hour. So six-of-one-and-half- dozen of the other. You can't go wrong w either choice. Good luck on your half marathon.
