Candy Around the World

Does Morocco have candy? In the article I read, it said they didn't, so they substituted a sweet dessert instead...?

It's funny, in all the times I have been, we have looked at some of the candy in some of the countries, but have never tried any!

DD is really excited for this now!

My favorites:

Mexico - Don't remember the name but it's round wafers and in-between them is caramel. Soooo good!

UK - I love the Mars bars, Aero bars, and Flakes!

Canada - They have this really great candy that tastes kind of like coffee? It's really great

Germany - I opt out of candy and grab a bag of caramel popcorn!

Japan - Pocky!

Have a great time! :thumbsup2

yes! Mint aero bars are SO GOOD! Our local Meijer has them in their international section. They don't carry flake anymore though which is a huge bummer! I loved those!

they sound delicious can i buy them anywere in japan or is there a specific shop?

It's in the big department store near all of the other candies. Japan has a huge selection of snacks and candies, probably the biggest selection in the World Showcase.

My second favorite place for candies (besides the caramel shop in Germany, #1 to me!) is Italy.

The only issue we'd have with a Candy Crawl is that we visit when it's hot and the chocolate would melt ASAP. We try to buy non-chocolate to bring home and enjoy. If we buy something chocolate, we eat it right away. The bag of hard candies (about $4) was nice to bring home to share with friends because it doesn't melt and there are a lot of pieces.
