Candy around the World in Epcot

My daughter wants to get some candy from each country in Epcot to take to school as part of a project she's doing while we're on vacation. Anyone have suggestions from any of the countries?

Norway has some of the best chocolate in the world! They sell candy in the gift shop! The yellow wrapper (milk chocolate) and the blue wrapper (w/ nuts) are the best!!!

Thanks! We tried some Ritter chocolate from Germany last trip, but nothing from Norway. I guess I should also mention that DH is allergic to nuts, so we should probably stay away from them so he can share .

There are some good candies in the Japan store. Germany has a lot of good things too, gummies, etc and of course you can't forget the new Caramel Store!

DH & I love Japanese candy. They have these great gummies, as well as these chocolate eggs with little candies inside. And you can't go wrong with Pocky!

I always get the black sugar candy (like a molasses lozenge) and the cola gummy strings at Mitsukoshi.

I can't recall if they sell it or not, but if Germany sells Kinder chocolate, get that. It's better and IMO far more authentic "day to day" kids candy than others. (From someone who lived there for several years)
Personally my family and I can't stand Haribo gummi. Yes, they say it's "authentic" but the other brands in Germany are soooooo much better! (like Baren Treff, but they don't sell it in Disney)
Another one I can't recall if it's sold in Epcot, but marzipan shaped treats are very German and are sold for all occasions there...including little potato shapes at harvest time!

The UK chocolate is a good choice since it's the same brands as here but has a different taste to it.

They have Cadbury chocolate like we do but it's not as sweet. I just tried their Kit Kat bar and it also has a different taste then the American version. They also have flakey chocolate sticks.

Japan has cool candy and snacks like pocky, etc.

The Mango HI-Chews are my favorite but the other flavors are very good too,if you want to try something crazier try the ones with the baking soda inside that explode in your mouth.They have tons of other good stuff,another thing that's not candy but is good are the shrimp flavored chips with wasabi.Other countries with good candy are Germany and England.

The reason it tastes different is because the brands are licensed by different chocolate makers here. To take your examples, Cadbury and Kit Kat are both licensed by Hershey in the US, so they're made with Hershey chocolate. Kit Kat is made by Nestle in the UK (I prefer UK Kit Kats).

The chocolates they sell in Italy are amazing, the exact ones I buy every time I'm there! A lot of them have hazelnuts, so you'd need to read the labels. Gianduiotti (triangle shaped bar, but little and wrapped in gold) is my all time favorite thing.

If you have nut allergies, avoid the gianduiotti, which are made with hazelnuts. If you don't have nut allergies, I agree with bekkiz - gianduiotti are delicious!
