Candles with a "post-Christmas/pre-Spring" scent

Just curious, if you burn candles or melt scented wax cubes, what are some of your favorite scents to use between Christmas and Spring? I'm ready to move on from my fragrant tree scents, but not ready for floral, springtime scents.

I know I've mentioned the Better Homes and Gardens scented wax cubes here on the DIS before, but they have got to be the strongest and best smelling cubes on the market. Walmart sells them in a pack of six cubes for $2.00! Can't beat that! I have a lot of Yankee Candles (love some their "beachy" scents), but they aren't nearly as strong as the Better Homes and Gardens cubes.

I've been melting the BH&G Fresh Frasier Fir scented cubes for the past few weeks, and they really make the house smell like we have a real Christmas tree. We've had a lot of company over the holidays and everyone coming in the house has remarked on the Christmasy smell. Even our bi-monthly pest control guy remarked on the scent. I figure if a guy notices it, then it must really be strong!

I'm moving on to BH&G Sparkling Berry Garland and Holiday Sleigh Ride. They both have more of a wintery scent than holiday scent. Frosty Peppermint Snow is also good, but almost too much of a peppermint smell.

Anybody else have any good smelling candles or cubes that you like to burn in the winter months?

I'd like to add, because I read over my post and it sounds like a commercial for BH&G wax cubes, that I have no affiliation with the company!

I use the BH&G wax cubes too, and I love them. I always let them melt then pour the wax back into the plastic container and let it re-harden. I can use the cubes over and over that way.

I was melting an apple-cinnamon one up to Christmas, then I switched to an evergreen one.

I am about to switch back to one that isn't the BH&G brand, but I think I got it at Walmart anyway. The brand is ScentSationals, and the scent is "Hot Wassail" - it is a blend of apples and orange-y citrus with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. LOVE!

I will probably switch to "Roses" at the first of February for Valentine's Day.

Bath and Body Works Winter, Winter Night, Silver Birch, Peppermint Mocha and Paris Daydream.

But I have way more Winter (the scent) candles than any other. I typically go through a 3 wick candle a week.

I have 2 Yankee Candles to go: North Pole, (burning now), and Cinnamon Stick. I feel these are ok for Jan./Feb. By March I'll be into the spring scents.

YC only for me.,......tried the cube things from WalMart and don't like them.
January I lean to baking scents............baking spice, cinnamon, chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie...............still cozy smelling, but not Christmasy

Another user of the BH & G ones from Walmart..I think they are much stronger scented than YC...I have been burning the fir one and the myrrh and frankencense one lately. I just switched to the Sparkling Cranberry one today, the peppermint cocoa one is also really nice smelling

I tend to go for cranberry scents this time of year. I have Scentsy Snowberry and love that but don't currently use my Scentsy warmer.

Right now I'm using the Wallflower plug-ins and have Winter Candy Apple right now. It is sort of a cranberryish scent. Cranberry Pear Bellini is also a nice one. I have Twisted Peppermint in our bedroom right now and it is okay but very faint so it didn't work for the lower floor.

My all-time favorite Wallflower scent is Creamy Nutmeg. It is great for any time of year I feel.

I have used a few of the BH&G melts before and I remember liking the blueberry muffin one and I think also some sort of cranberry one.

I have some of the ScentSationals, too. I got them at Walmart, same price as the BH&G cubes. I haven't tried the Hot Wassail, but it sounds like one I would like. Thanks! I'll look for that one next time I'm in Walmart!

The ScentSationals No PLace Like Home is a nice scent that reminds me of cinnamon.

The Fresh Frasier Fir from BH&G is my favorite! Very, very much like a real tree smell. I usually melt two cubes at a time in a warmer in my kitchen area and the scent fills the downstairs area in the house as well as the upstairs. I tried the Snowy Evergreen Forest one the other day, but it smells like freshly washed linens to me. Not a bad smell, but I was hoping for more of a Christmas scent!

Just by chance, one of the c'mas gifts I received from DD3 was a Love/Family Warmer w/some ScentSationals scents incl: No Place Like Home, Unconditional Love, Precious Kisses, and the My Mom scents incl: My Best Friend, The Worlds Best Chef and Dr Mom. She and family live in NC and we only see every couple mos, so needless to say I was very touched by her thoughtfulness. Its a dreary rainy day in Md, so I opened it and am enjoying relaxing to the Unconditional Love scent and thinking how blessed I am.

i like yankee candle citrus and sage for pre spring scent.
i use the spicy autumn scents for holidays/winter. i don't like the "sweets" or flowery scents at all ever. i use clean scents for summer. i use tarts and jars.
candles are my "when the house is clean" treat...after house work, it is my reward to myself.

Thanks! We are so excited to welcome another grandchild into our lives! We'll know in February whether it's a girl or boy. Carter would like a baby brother, and Vanessa says "yes" to a brother...sister...kitty...dog.

Thanks! I went to Walmart this morning and picked some up. $1.00 a pack! I couldn't find the Hot Wassail scent, but bought Frankincense & Myrrh, Tropical Beach Holiday, and Warm Crackling Campfire, which is another favorite scent of mine. I love the names they give to the various scents, and the photos on the packages are quite pleasing, too! Almost makes me buy scents I don't even like!

I don't care for most of the floral scents, except for Honeysuckle. I love the summer/beachy scents from Yankee Candle. Sun and Sand is my favorite! Reminds me of Noxema and sunscreen.

I just finished my Merry Mistletoe Wallflower plug-in and now have Cardamom and Cloves. After that one's gone I'll be using one called 'Winter'.

My Yankee Christmas Tree candle just burned out yesterday and now I'm burning BH&G Sparkling Berry Garland wax cubes. For Valentine's I burn Yankee's Fresh Cut Roses (my favorite Yankee scent).
