Candlelight Seating??

I'll be with my in-laws who are in their 70's -- they really can't stand throughout the show --- I've never attended. Is it an absolute must to do the dinner/lunch package? Or could we get seats by coming early? If so, how early do you need to get there?

Thanks

L-Raf, I wouldn't say it's an absolute must, but it does depend on when you plan on going. If you're thinking of going like on Christmas Eve, then you might have a difficult time scoring a seat. Not so difficult if you're going in early December, in the middle of the week, for the early show.

We always get a package - the package doesn't guarantee a seat, it just gives you dibs on preferred seating. I've heard some folks get in line 45 mins before the show and do just fine. Can the in-laws stand in line for 45 mins? If it's critical that they are able to sit down, maybe y'all should consider the package.

LoveRafiki - We are doing CP with my parents. They are 81 an 77. We have reservations at Le Cellier and are attending the first show on 12-26. We plan on standing in line while they quietly sit comfortably outside the theater. When they start letting people in, they will join us. I'm really not worried what people will say. They survived many years and have earned their place.

And if the weather is on the cooler side...bring something to sit on because the benches are metal and you will freeze your buns!!! :rotfl2:

Just have one member of your party stand in the line, if necessary. We found it easier to sit outside at the Liberty Inn seating area and wait until the line started moving. Once it was relatively clear, we joined and easily found seats. Fifteen minutes before the start of the show. This was December 26th two years ago.

They may not let them into the reserved section without a show badge, it is roped off. They also can't just walk-in past the people waiting in the standby line.

Thanks for the info.

We'll be there the first week in December. Do you think we could simply wait in line (they could sit while we stand....) for the early show?

If you go during the week, you should be able to get in with the standby line.
