Candlelight Processional

Although with the fantastic package I had to call because it wasn't working on the app so who knows

It was July last year and it was $75 a person at Garden Grill. Was worth it for us I knew some one performing in the show and great to see her perform.

OK, so how would that work if it was the same time frame? You would have to hurry and cancel your regular ADR and then quick go to the Candlelight Processional page and hope you get the same ADR you wanted? Or do you not have to cancel the regular ADR and can wait until after you booked the Candlelight one?

The site will have a pop up that says you already have a reservation in that time frame and asks if would you want to change it.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but can someone tell me if you can use a dining plan table service credit to book the Candlelight Processional package?

When you have an existing ADR, and it is the same time as one you want to make, you arre told to cancel it. The ADR is held until your new ADR is confirmed, and then it is canceled. I have done this several times. SO the hurry is not really having to cancel and then secure the new ADR because you don't lose the original until the new one is confirmed.

I was told this is no

I was told this will not happen. You can not use an existing ADR and use it to make a Candlelight reservation.

This is true, You cannot use your existing ADR. If you make your new ADR online, you will get a message that you have an existing ADR, and will be asked to cancel it before you can make your new ADR. You agree, and you will then be allowed to make a new ADR, but will know that until you new ADR is confirmed, the existing one is held. Many times people find a restaurant they want, or they need to make an ADR for a larger party, and will try to make tha ADR at the same time as the ADR already made. You cannot have two at the same time, so you must cancel one. What I have tried to explain, and probably not clearly, is that you will not lose the existing ADR in the mad dash to secure one you want more. It is "in limbo" until you confirm teh new one. You cannot make a new one unless you agree to let the existing one go.

You are not "changing" your ADR to Candlelight processional. You are canceling your current non-candlelight reservation and making one that includes the candlelight processional.

Book the new reservation with the package, and then cancel the old reservation. it's that easy. Or if the system prompts you to cancel your existing reservation, then let the system do it for you. However, you will not keep the same reservation. You will be booking a new one and cancelling your old one, because you can't just change a regular reservation into a Candlelight package reservation.

Im just letting you know what Disney Dining told me, the 2 reservations are totally separate. If you have a reservation and you canacel it that does not mean a Candlelight will open up, according to DD.

Well that is true. Which is why you book the Candlelight first, then cancel the old reservation.

This is true. The two are separate events. One is a regular TS ADR and will not be linked to the CP> The CP ADR is entirely different, and is taken from a pool of spots ADR's specifically linked to the CP. So... if you are doing this online, find the CP ADR you want, start the reservation process, a message will pop up advising you that you have an ADR in place for that timeframe and will ask if you want to cancel that one. Say yes. Your original ADR will be in limbo while your new CP ADR is being secured, and then it will be cancelled.

There number if ADR's available at each restaurant is finite. Any ADR's in place already have nothing to do with any ADR's for CP.
