I'll be in the parks the first week of December. I wanted to see the Candlelight Processional but do I have to do the dining package or will I be able to get in via the standby line? Thoughts?

I would think at that time of year that yes, you would be able to get in without the dinner package (is the reader someone popular?). If you go to the earliest show your chances are better. But people get in line early! We were shocked at how early people got in line for the first showing and we did have to spend a long time in line. So think about whether waiting in line vs. buying the package and saving the time is better for you.

DSNY4ever is right. You probably can get in without the dining package -but I'd expect to get in line no less than 1-1/2 hours prior. If you have kids then maybe one of you can wait while the other does something with the kids. Look at the bright side -bring your iPod, it's about one show lengths wait. I've always done it with dining because in my opinion we are going to eat anyway and I believe that show is worth something(even though Disney doesn't charge) that I'd be willing pay for anyway -all the while not having to wait wondering if we'll get seats.

Man......I've tried to get a dining ressie for the package and they are pretty booked up........I'll keep checking and hoping someone will cancel. I'm not very good at waiting in line. I know......it's Disney, you have to wait, but still...... Thanks for the help.
