What are the chances of seeing the show withoutout the dining package. Do I stand a better chance of getting in at the earlier show or the later one, any particular day of the week?:santa: How early should I line up? I will be there November 28 - December 5th and any suggestions would be appreciated.

first, i assume you don't have the DDP because it just doesn't make sense to have the DDP and not get the CPP.

that said, your best bet is probably the last show since you won't be contending with those vying for spots for illuminations.

you could be in line from when the last show ended. as it is, even in the beginning of December, the CPP line started to form close to an hour prior to showtime last year.

and with little doubt, you'll end up in the back of the theatre somewhere regardless.

Chances are pretty good. Get there early enough to snake a seat, but if you get there after it starts and there is no seating, you can always stand at the back and watch.
Weekdays are better than weekends due to locals coming to visit the parks. As far as which show..... the general rule is the last show is better for viewing.

Here's a bit from my trip report from last December.....

That evening we decided to go back and see the Candlelight Processional again. We left the Dolphin at around 3:45 or so, the plan was to get in the standby line at around 5:30 for the 6:45 show. Once we got over to that area, they had just started letting people in for the 5:00 show. The standby line stretched all the way out to the crystal kiosk in Germany. The cast member watching over the end of the line told us that we WOULD get in. So we jumped on line. And we DID get in. We sat in the next to the last row.

So I would say your chances are EXCELLENT! Enjoy, we loved it!

Or, you could just watch it from outside the theater pavilion. I did that last year, and enjoyed it tremendously. Of course, I didn't intend to stay for the whole thing, but I did end up sticking around for a good portion of it. (This is not recommended for people who have to sit, though...I'm a little hyper, and pace a lot).
