Candlelight Processional

I've been calling each morning since I hit my 180+10 date last week -- I'm making reservations for 15 for the 11/24 the last night of our Grand Gathering. This is the last reservation I need for this trip.

I called in this morning (5/27 )and was told not yet. I've gotten several different responses over the past week some say August others say 180 days out, others just don't know anything. So I'll just try every morning.

Thanks to everyone checking. I tried yesterday and the person didn't even know what I was talking about

Just called and was told it was still looking like August.

Hey Terk-1 Lets see who gets first Sunday. I wll be calling Sunday morning as well. Will report back here when finished and let you all know how I make out..

It's Saturday, May 27th @ 2:24pm & I just hung up the phone with WDW Dining. Got ALL of my ADR's at all of the restaurants I wanted, when I wanted to dine there!!! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :yay: ::yes:: pixiedust: party:

Yes, I'd suggest staying flexible for the speakers too. One thing I will add, Phil Donahue was wonderful. I do not agree w/ his politics, but he has a marvelous speaking voice and did a fantastic job. :thumbsup2 it was very moving. The choirs are magnificent. We really enjoyed the show.

I was reading about the package on Allears and it said that the dinner times for the 5:00 show are at 7:00. Is that a general recommendation or is that the only time you can reserve dinner? Why would there be so much time b/t show and dinner? I was thinking that the dinner reservation could be around 6:15 or 6:30.

Based on my two experiences, I believe they are recommendations. Although both times something happened that made their suggested times more realistic. The first time the CP was running 15 to 20 minutes late and we really had to run to get way over to Garden Grill to make the ADR time I chose (8:10 after the 6:45 show). The second time I was meeting up with friends for a Le Cellier ADR at 4:10 for the 6:45 show. A couple of our group got delayed. We were seated later than our ADR. Our waitstaff person seemed a little confused. Plus it took a while to receive and enjoy appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We ended up running again. Made it to CP on time, but arrived after they had started letting guests without packages enter the theater.

I think much depends on where you have your ADR. If it's near the theater, you wouldn't need to allow for much "travel" time.

If you can plan it to not have to rush, it is truly a very special evening.

Well, it's 7:04EST, I just got off the phone with dining...CP is not available yet. CM couldn't tell me exactly when it will be available, he said after the speaker list is released.

As for more tables being available at the 180 day mark... I am beginning to doubt that. We currently have ADRs for 11/24 at Le Cellier for 8:30PM....WAY to late for us. So I called this morning, the BEST they could offer my family of 5 is 2 tables at 7:45. So I'm keeping our ADR time, and hope to do better with CP.

I beleive in your case they are saving the ADR's for the CP package people. Last year I tried to get an ADR for Lecellier and could not because they said you had to be going to the CP

a day early, how did you manage that?!?!?!

Just happened to call to check on CP packages, said I would like to make my adr's and we were off and running. Had a very nice CM and we chit chatted while she found the availability. Told her that this was a solo trip and she thought that was great. So I guess it was just luck.

How did you get your 8:30 ADR? If I understand you correctly, you are saying that you got it prior to the 180 day mark, and then called at the 180 day mark to see if they open any better times.

Since we are staying on site, arriving on 11/18, I can make my ADRs at 180 + 10. Meaning I can make my first ADR for my day of arrival (11/18) at the 180 day mark and then make ADRs for the next 10 days, basically for my length of stay.

Oh, I keep forgetting the ten days rule for resort guests. They have started this since my last trip to WDW. I have to make a note of this or I will forget and miss out on the early ADRs. Thanks!

Anyone hear anything today?

Made my ADRs today for my trip 11/25 - 12/2 and was told that they could not make the candlelight processional reservations yet. I didn't ask, but the CM also told me you could not make ADR now and then later convert them for the candlelight processional. She said they have not heard anything yet and didn't know when they would start taking reservations. :surfweb:

Read my post above they will not be out till Mid August per my info when I called and CM I had talk to her supervisor. And you are correct you cannot convert your ADR to a CP Package.
