Hal Holbrook or Steven Curtis Chapman? We've never done this so I'd love to hear from those who have. Also, how many performances are there per night and what are the times?

Thanks,

I can not comment on the narrators but the times of the shows are 5:00, 6:45 and 8:15.

I've never seen Hal Holbrook before, but we did see Steven Curtis Chapman last year for the CP and loved it! Personally, just knowing his testimony and lifestyle just added to the meaning of the words.

Have fun!

Thanks, my husband would like to hear Steven Curtis Chapman just based on what he knows about him.

I heard Steven Curtis Chapman last year and loved him!

However, I haven't a clue who he is, I just thought he did a wonderful job with the narration and was so sincere.

Hope that helps.

We were going to skip CP this year since we will only be there for 4 days until dh found out that Steven Curtis Chapman was going to be narrating while we were there. We will be there Dec 16.:D

Steven Curtis Chapman is scheduled for Dec. 17-19. Will you get to see him?

Oops. We are actually going Friday Dec 17. We will be there Dec 15-19. I just typed the wrong date.:D

I saw somewhere that Hal Holbrook cancelled and his spot was open.

We're going on the 17th, too. Are you doing a CP package? Do you think we'll need to?

We thought about trying to go without the package but since it is getting closer to Christmas and a weekend night I was afraid not to book the package. I knew dh would be very sad if we were not able to get in (and I'm trying to do my part to keep him excited about going back to disney) . There was a post I read where people had gotten in line for the first show and stood there until the second show to get in on a weekend night. I don't think it is necessary for a weeknight or early December. We are going to the 5:00 show and have a 7:10 seating at Le Cellier.

Just a tip - we've been to the 5 PM show in the past and it's still light outside so the candlelight part of the show isn't as beaming as for the later shows.

Thank you all. I will definitely book a CP package and I'll try for the middle show.

:earsgirl:

I can't wait!!!

Tink: If you eat dinner before the show just make sure to allow plenty of time to get to CP. We did the middle show the first year and had to run to get there in time. The earlier show works out better for us since our youngest is 6 but agree the show will be prettier when it is dark out.

Can anyone who has attended previously tell me how long the Candlelight Processional show actually lasts? We have the package for a 6:45 show and 8 PM PS at Rose and Crown. Will we have time to get to dinner after the show?

Approximately 40 minutes--you should be fine. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the response. This has been bugging me, and I haven't been able to get a straight answer from any other source. I knew I could count on the DIS boards!
