We are awating the release of the CP packages. What time showing would you recommend and do you prefer to eat before or after?

Thanks

I am sure you will get various responses as different folks like different things. As for DH & I-- we like to eat around 6 o'clock or so and see the last show of the evening usually around 8 p.m.

DH and I prefer to eat early, about 5:15 or so, and attend the last performance. I think the show is more dramatic when it is completely dark outside.

We like to eat on the early side and go to the last performance. It's then just a short wait until Illuminations!

Bobbi :)

So there is enough time after the last show to see Illuminations? Iwas thinking I may book Lecellier for 5:45-6pm and then attend the 8:15 pm show. We plan on doing Animal Kingdom in the day and hop over to Epcot for the Evening. I'm thinking on doing this Nov 28. Take Care Kathy

We prefer to see the show first and then eat. On our trip in December 2005, we went twice - both times we saw the 6:45 CP, then Rose and Crown at 8 and Le Cellier at 8:15. It worked out perfectly for Illuminations at Rose and Crown - we had just finished eating when it started and they had an outside area roped off for their patrons.

So when you call up, you tell them a time that you want for dinner and then which show you would like to attend? This is my first time booking the package and I don't want to mess it up, lol.

You tell them which show you want first, then they tell you what restaurant times are available to go with that show.

We preferred to go to the 6:45 show and then dinner after, 8:00-8:15. That way you didn't have to worry about the time during dinner. We usually came out just as Illuminations was starting.

DW and I are always looking forward to the CP, and we normally eat early and then attend the second show. We are anxious to hear who the narrators are during our trip.

We like to eat early and go to the 6:45 show I believe.

We saw the 6:45pm performance in 2004, followed by a 8:30ish ADR at Rose & Crown. This year we are hoping to eat early, ~5pm, and attend the last performance. We will not be spending the whole day at Epcot, so this seemed the best option for us. We're hoping to attend toward the end of our trip, 12/8 specifically.

How long is the show itself?

The show is about 50 minutes long, 55 if you stay for the recessional songs. We like the night ones better but will go to the early show if we think it might be crowded or need to get home earlier.

With little kids we like to eat and then go to the middle show...so we eat at 4:30p and see the 6:45p show.

I also like the second (middle) show because then I am guaranteed that it will be dark already.

If I didn't have kids I'd probably eat and then go to the 3rd show or go to the second show and then eat.

In the past, what times have the shows been? Someone has already stated that there were 3 last yr.

Thanks in advance for the help!

5:00p, 6:45p and 8:15p

How does this work with the CP dinner plan passes? Do you pick them up somewhere and decide on your own which show to attend based on your ADR time?

No. When you call to book the CP dining package, they will first ask you which show you want to see, then they will ask you if you want to eat before or after and where you want to eat and then they will give a range of times to choose from.

You pick up your CP voucher/ticket at the front desk of your resort. They will give you tickets to hand to the restaurant and tickets to hand to the CP people and a badge to wear.

You must go to the show you told them over the phone as it will be marked on your badge and paperwork.
