This package is usually available in the summer.
Does anyone know when Disney plans to offer the dinner/show tix this year?

"90 days in advance" to make Dinner Pkg. ressies is the word so far this year.

Sounds like Disney is treating Candlelight Processional more like a priority seating. Very odd, especially since you pay in advance for the ticket.

What "ticket" are you talking about?

CP is free to all guests in Epcot.

You can (but are not required to) book a CP Dinner Pkg. if you want
to be assured better/easier seating for a particular show.

The CP Dinner Pkg. is a part of ADR/Priority Seating.

For the past 12 years tickets for the C/P package went on sale in the summer and were not part of the 90 day in advance ressie system.

I believe last year you did not pay in advance, you just had to give a credit card # as a guarantee. You actually paid at the restaurant.

Several people have called recently and the consistent answer is this year it will be at the regular 90 day mark.

Its true in theory that you can stand by for Candlelight, in reality it depends on the day and time you go. We have been the last two years Christmas week and with packages we still stood by for over an hour and didnt have fantastic seats. I saw tons of people get turned away in the standby line.

We have attended for the past 12 years during the first two weeks in December and have had great seats using the package.

In (many) previous years, the ADR's were available 6 months in advance.

They dropped nearly everything down to 90 days near the end of 2008.

It does depend on how close to Christmas you are. A couple of years ago we got a seat in the back at the last minute on a Thursday night at the beginning of the month. I really don't think "good seats" are a big deal for this, it's more of a listening experience than a visual. Except don't sit behind a tree.......;)

Thats because the ressie system was 180 days..which made it summer time for release. I personally have spoken to 6 different Cms over the past severla weeks.I also have my TA calling weekly.Every answer from every Cm so far has been 90 days, like all dining adrs

You do not have to do the dining pkg.You can wait standby which very often has people lining up about 60-90 mins in advance of the show.Even then, you may NOT get a seat. They seat all the people with dining pkgs first, then let standby in.The one year I waited 90 mins and did not get a seat.I still sat and listened to it over by the American adventure pavilion.

We have gone for the last 9 out of 10 years and if I recall, I have been on the phone in both July and August making ressies. I know August, because I was on vacation at OOB in Maine and called in the car at our hotel. It was blazing hot and I was on the phone for almost an hour. It was a secret that we were going at Christmas that year.:)

Now on the other hand, I keep checking to see if anyone has posted who they think the narrators will be. I kind of have this fantasy where the powers that be at WDW are reading the DIS boards. They are waiting for the natives to get restless before they start releasing snippets of information to keep us guessing and chomping at the bit for more information, lol.:rotfl:

We were able to the last two years when we stayed onsite and had the Dining Plan. I asked when I was able to make ressies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you use the DDP for the CPP,you will get charged for the appetizer if you order one. You only get the app'y if you pay OOP for the package.

Yes, anything other than your drink (non-alcholic), entree and dessert is not covered by your DDP credit. If you choose to order an adult beverage or an appetizer, then you will have to pay oop for them.

I am assuming it is just one TS credit for the CP dinner, and you pay OOP if you want the appetizer or an adult beverage ??

Is it just 1 TS for any of the tiers or more TS if you get the highest Tier?

Here's hoping Disney will at least release the details of the packages (costs, inclusions, etc.). We have been enjoying the Candlelight Processional since 1996. I do remember a few years that they charged in advance for the package, but most years there was just a credit card guarantee. One year we could not book until August, but most years it was in June or July. In our early years, there was also a shopping discount at select Epcot stores and often a limited edition pin. You also had to pick up your "ticket badges" in advance, now you just get them at the end of dinner. It is much more efficient now. We are going this year the day after Thanksgivings with a party of eight, so I'm hoping the 90 day + 10 does not limit our options.
