Candlelight Processional--same as WDW version?

For those who have been this year... I just watched the 2012 CP from WDW that's on a sticky at the top of this board. Is the Disneyland version the same?

And for those of you who did NOT get the AP seats (like me ), how soon did you have to start waiting (particularly for the SECOND show) to get a decent place to stand?

We'll be there next week and would love to at least SORT of see this!

I have not watched the video so I can't answer the first question but here is my report from last Saturday night:

I could have joined in the back of the standing area for the first show (but we were on our way out) during the performance. But there was even more room for the second show as we walked back in around 7:35, just as it started. There was plenty of room in the standing area, especially to the left (if facing the train station) of the tree.

I'm curious to hear if that continues to be the case for all the shows. It was a busy Saturday night in the park when we were there and we didn't have to wait at all to see the show from the standing area.
Of course if you want to be at the front of the standing area, you would need to line up in advance. But I was able to get a great view right as the show started and without being elbow to elbow with tons of people. Hopefully it continues to be that way.
