I will be going to Epcot for the Jim Caviezel show on Friday December 16. I would love to be able to get a seat close enough to see that it is actually him. Last time I saw Jonathan Groff from the very last row standing up and I honestly can't say if it was "really" him that was there.

How early do I need to get in line or get to the stage to get a decent seat for the 5 pm showing?

Also does anyone know if there is anyway to meet the narrators afterwards? Do they have any meet/greets or backstage passes? Is that even possible?

For standby only the last 5 rows in the back are used, so unless you have the dinning package you won't be close. I do the CP every year on standby and I find the seats in the back just fine
As for meeting the narrators they don't have anything official set up. If you are in the standby line you can see the narrator walking into the theater around 3pm and some people hang after the last show to see them leave

yulilin3, which show would you recommend for best chance of getting in by standby, vs. CP dining package?
What time would I need to line up?
Thanks in advance.

line up time depends on the narrator. It's been known that the last show of the night is the easiest one to get into. I have done standby for the past 6 years cause my kids have been part of the choir and I don't have the funds for the package. I have had to line up by noon for Neil Patrick Harris for the 5pm show, he is one of the most popular ones, I was at Epcot Friday and we walked past the standby around 2pm and there was only one person in line that day. Unfortunately my DD16 is singiing this Wed., again with NPH so I'm already getting ready for the long wait, I usually bring an umbrella for shade and a book to pass the time

Oh my Goodness! I don't know if I would be able to stand in line that long. I could if we were walking, moving, but to just stand for 5 hours. . . , even 2 or 3 hours. Shoot. I do have one CP lunch dining package, but want to go more than once, but not pay the extra each time. Well, I guess I will find out. Thank you.

who's the narrator?
I will add that I am a local and don't want to risk not getting into the theater, but you could always show up an hour before and see if you can make it inside.

I am there 12/11-12/18. My CP dining lunch is 12/13. I will be at Epcot again on 12/16 for the DVC Merry Member Mixer, then go to DHS later in the evening. I am currently thinking about going to Epcot 12/11, and try for CP standby. But that is my travel day, and I will be getting up at 3AM, (I never sleep the night before either), and may be too exhausted for lines. This is my first Christmas trip, so I am really looking forward to all the special holiday traditions presentations in the countries, The CP, etc. I definately want to spend 2 or 3 days there, just enjoying it all. Is there anything you especiallly would recommend, on a budget? (I gave in and bought a MVMCP ticket for 12/15, figuring I may not go again at Christmas, and that blew my budget.) Thanks again.

Robby Benson won't be as popular so I would give it a try if you really want to. I like touring the resorts to see all the decorations

Yes, I am planning on touring the Epcot and MK resorts. I won't take the time to go over to Fort Wilderness and look at the campers' decorations, but I read they are really special too.
Congratulations on having such talented kids! What a joyful time of year for your family.

Last year, I entered the stand-by line for last show of the night between 35 and 40 minutes prior to show time. The line was huge, but I got a seat (as did several dozen people behind me). The narrator for that show was Neil Patrick Harris.

That said, I'd seen him the year prior and I wasn't going to be heartbroken if I didn't get a seat.
