I was thinking that going to the 5:00 and then going to eat would be perfect. Then I read here that it wasn't really dark for the first performance, and that takes away from the impact. So now I'm thinking 6:45 and then eat. But if you have to go at 6:15 or so and get in line, don't you hear the 5:00. I would think having already heard it while waiting in line would make the "real" performance kind of anti-climatic. What would you all recommend?

We went to the 645pm performance of CP in Dec. And I'm pretty sure it was the first performance. There was another one after our performance that I think started at 9pm. There was people already in line for the next performance when we left. I'm sure they could hear the music but from where they were standing in line I doubt they could see it. Also we showed up right when they were letting people in the reserved section and we got awesome seatings anyway. The whole bottom part and some of the top part is reserved seating and there is CMs blocking people without reserved seating from seating down. When we had to go to the bathroom they gave us a password to use when we got back. After going to the bathroom we had to show our special badges and give them the password that they gave us on our way out to the bathrooms. It was an awesome show!!

The times last year were 5 PM for the first one then 6:45 and the last one at 8:15. We did the 8:15 one and did the package and ate in Italy at 6:15 and had plenty of time to get in line for the show. Yes, you do hear the music from it and in just the right spots you can see the stage. We tended to tune it out so we didn't hear it twice and spoil our first time there. It was great and not to be missed and I agree with previous posters with the dark really makes the show since the candles show up so much better.
