Forgive me if this has been covered. I had a reservation a couple of years ago for a CP package that I ended up having to cancel. At that time, as far as I can recall, you didn't have to pre-pay, just guarantee to a credit card and as long as you cancel at least x number of days/hours in advance, no charge.
This year I see that the packages require payment at the time of the reservation. I also have read the terms and see "Guests who cancel reservations within 48 hours of the event will forfeit the entire package price."
What I want to know is this: If I cancel well outside of 48 hours prior (several days or weeks), is the entire package price refunded? I don't see any mention of a cancellation fee if outside the 48 hours, so I assume so, but want to know before pre-paying for something like this. I can always call Disney, but their answers are so inconsistent, sometimes it's sometimes easier to get a reliable answer here.
