- I see there is a set price for the meals - with different tiered restaurants - but what does that include?

- Any suggestions which restaurant to book? (We are planning ahead for our 2010 visit)

- Do you think you need the meal pkg for a group of 3 in the first week of Dec?:confused3

the candlelight processional package usually includes: salad, entree, dessert, and non-alocholic beverages. we usually book a tier 3 restaurant, but whatever one sounds great to you is the one you should book. as far as the dining plan, can't help you there. good luck!:yay:

The package includes what the PP indicated. You can usually order anything off the menu, but lobster entrées are usually excluded. There is no fixed menu. It also provided for priority seating to the processional and also new this year, a special viewing area for Illuminations.

They changed the package/restaurants included a bit every year, so there's no guarantee the choices will be the same in 2010, or if it will be 2 TS credits again, or who knows what they may decide to change. It's pretty much guaranteed prices will change, but who knows by how much, or if some tiers may go up more than others?

As for whether or not you would need it, from what people have posted, that seems to be a coin flip.

Thanks a lot for the advice. Now to pick our restaurant. This will be tough as one sister is very allergic to all nuts, seafood, bananas and anything related to them. The other sister is super picky. At least I like/can eat most things!!
I think Le Cellier might be our safest bet.

We have never to WDW near Christmas before. I would love input about the Candlelight Processional from all you DIS'ers. Do you really enjoy it? Is it a must do? How long is it, roughly? TIA:)

It's always been a must do for us. We go at least once a year, sometimes twice, so yes we enjoy it. The show is approximately 30 to 40 minutes long.

However, the show doesn't change from year to year, and it's getting more and more expensive so we were really considering if it will continue to be a must do for us. We were going to skip it this year because money is tight, but we figured we would go for it because of the special viewing area for Illuminations. Hopefully it will make it wothwhile. :goodvibes

Having a CP package to me would make it much less stressful and a time saver. That area is :crowded: during CP anyway. I think this year will make past years look tame.
Guessing those who want to see CP without a dining plan will be spending a lot of time standing and waiting, and still probably sitting and listening to CP from the food court plaza than the amphitheater.
But time will tell. The day of the week and weather will be factors also on how busy the stand by lines will be.

Okay, that decides me!! My arthritis is getting worse and I think all that standing would just be too much. We will definately get the package. Thanks a lot for all the replies!!

We went last year with the package and had dinner at Chefs de France. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the evening. This year we'd like to use our TiW card for dinner so we won't be able to get the CP Package. We're just going to take our chances and try to see one of the earlier two performances. If we get a seat, fine, if not we'll listen from the walkway. We decided not to stress too much about it.
