Will people waiting in line for the Candlelight Processional get in the week of Christmas, or do we need to book the dinner package? How early should we get in line on Dec. 23rd? Which show would be the best bet if waiting in line without a package 5:00, 6:45, or 8:15?

The early show would be the best bet - we've walked in before - but if you want a guarantee get the package

The thing is with the package you are going to get in to see the show. People line up on the other side starting early early in the day and sometimes they don't even get in. You can hear it and see pieces of it from the line, but if you want to guarantee to see the show with a seat get the package.

You aren't paying to see the show only for dinner, but you get a dinner or lunch reservation and you get to see the show!

Definately Definately wouldn't go without reservations. We go every year and have for 7 years never without reservations! Good luck!

Not sure you can get the show with lunch - you may want to double check that.

For the early show, you get lunch package, for the later two shows, it's the dinner package.

We have never waited in line for the Candlelight Processional. Not even for Gary Sinise (although it was the day after Christmas, not Christmas Day). About a half hour before the Processional, we arrive at the Liberty Inn and wait in the outside seating area. Once the stand by line starts moving (about 10-15 minutes before the show), we go over and join the end of the now moving line. You aren't going to get a seat front row center but we've found if you go all the way over to the left side of the theatre (you'll enter on the right so everyone will take seats over there), you'll get some decent seats. We've been able to move to the center section but on the left side of that section.

I've been wondering this too. Do you think the time you go to the parks also factors in? My family and I are going the first week of December. Do you think it'll still be tough to get a decent spot without a package?

Any help/suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. We decided to do the 5:00 show and I called to make reservations or the Garden Grill for lunch. However the Garden Grill stops offering lunch in October. Since it is the only Character Meal on the list I was suprised it would not be open for lunch during Christmas.

1) If I wanted to see the show, I would do the dinner plan.
2) Otherwise, you need to be in line about 1½ hrs before the show.

We will be going in Dec, it will be our first Christmas trip.
Since this would be our first time to see the Candlelight show, I did not want to take the chance of not getting or nor did I want to stand in line for 2 hours.

I booked dinner at 5:30 at Tutto for the 8:15 CP show. This way we will not be rushed and will get out of CP just in time for Illuminations.
What a way to end the night.

I'd book the package. I noticed a big jump in the amount of people waiting in line during our last trip. If you want to guarantee a spot, I'd get the package.
