Thanks, I tried that. It says "Schedule Unavailable" and brings me back to the list of events. I called and made ressies through Disney Dining, but the CM (two different ones) told me you can only get 6:45 show with a Dinner Pkg, not lunch because it has to be within 2 hours of the show. From what I am reading here, that is not the case. So frustrating to not be in control of my own planning...lol !

I think that you can pick whatever show you want as long as it is not within 2.5 hours of your dinner... so you can't get a 6:45 show with a 5pm dinner but it used to be that if you had breakfast or lunch you HAD to attend the 5pm show and now it's your choice to attend later shows.

It doesn't look like anybody answered your question. The character dining experience will be exactly the same; nothing will change because you're on the package. You'll be eating right along side other families that aren't on the CP package. You're just paying a bit more for the CP package so that you have a guaranteed seat for the show and don't have to wait in the stand-by line. Your server should know you're on the package, but just remind them if they don't ask and they will give you a voucher at the completion of your meal fore each person in your party to use for the show.

Just booked 12/24 5:30 reservation @ Rose and Crown with an 8:15 show. The write up mentioned special seating for Illuminations on one site but not on another page. Does anyone have any insight? TIA

They stopped having the special areas for Illumination a few years ago. They changed it to a FP+. You only get the admission to the CP.

I can't get the CP option to show up on the website or on MDE for Chefs de France, it's just giving me normal dining times. What the heck am I doing wrong?!

I had trouble booking the CP online a few days ago and had to call to get a dinner at Chefs with the 8:15 pm show on 12/2.

They stopped having the special areas for Illumination a few years ago. They changed it to a FP+. You only get the admission to the CP.

When I booked it last year, it included the reserved area for Illuminations which is the same area as the FP as far as I was aware in between the two shops at the entrance to WS (I never took advantage of it though).

We booked 3 CP Pkgs in 2015. I was disappointed to learn that the reserved CP pkg. Illuminations viewing
was NO longer part of the pkg.
SO we used FP+ to reserve that formerly included reserved viewing area.
