candlelight processional package

I tried to get any reservation for any restaurant and any show time for the candlelight processional package for the week of Dec 11-17 and it is completely booked. I am so disappointed. If anyone cancels will you please let me know. Has anyone gone to cp without doing the dining package. How long do you have to wait in line beforehand? I have two boys 8 and 12 who will not want to wait. But I really want to see it. Also, when they say the christmas story do they mean Twas the night before christmas or the nativity story?

Don't worry - you can still get in. This is actually the first year that I will have the package and I have gone every year since 1997 either right after Thanksgiving or the beginning of December and seen it every time (two and three times a trip depending on who's narrating). Just wait on the line to the right of the America Theatre, I usually get in line about a 30-45 mins prior to the show. The show is done three times a night so you shouldn't have a problem seeing it at all. Keep calling to see if anyone cancels but if not - bribe the boys - it's worth the wait.

Cammie--I am pretty sure that the CM you spoke with just did not know how to find the Candlelight Processional packages. Please simply call back and speak to someone else. There have been several threads about people who have had this same thing happen.

I never answered the question about what it is. The narrator will read the nativity story from the Gospel according to Luke. It is the one that is traditionally read at Catholic's midnight mass about Caesar Augustus ordering a census to be taken. A 400 member choir and a 50 piece orchestra play/sing the Allelujah Chorus, Silent Night, Carol of the Bells and so on. It is truly one of a kind.

Don't give up. I changed my dates and at first they said they had nothing, so I called everyday, and I was able to switch my dates. So just keep calling.

Hope you get your package, but even with the package you still have to wait in line to get in. It is a different line from the people without the package, but you still have quite a wait.

I've done the dinner package all 3 times I've been to WDW during the holidays. I find it much less stressful with the package, than waiting in a long, long, long line without a guarantee of getting a seat. Call back and try again for a dinner package. Also, did you ask for a specific restaurant (like Le Cellier)? If so, that may be why it is booked, as this is one of the most popular restaurants, especially with the CP. Try a different restaurant, such as the Rose & Crown. Also, keep in mind that they have you eat BEFORE you go to your show and not after (as in the past). The 5pm show will have lunch reservations, the 6:45pm show will have adr's around 3-4:30pm and so on. I liked it better dining after the show, but no big deal. Also, try to get a performance at either 6:45pm or 8pm. It's darker out and you get to see more of the lights, etc.

I found this true! I cancelled a December 22 reservation when i changed my travel dates. I had called into Disney Travel, they asked if i wanted to make any reservations also! I thought...........what the hell. So i proceeded to change a couple of Adr's around. When i cancelled my processional I asked if there was anything open for Marakesh for the 16th of december. The Cm said no I was devastated.................. I called the disney dining line about 15 minutes later and low and behold! I have reservations on the 16th of december for the 8:15 show! So............Try again! You may have just spoke to a Moron!
