Does anyone know if you can purchase the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package on Thanksgiving? We were looking at the menu for Coral Reef and were thinking that might be a nice place for Thanksgiving dinner... But DH only wants to go there if we can do the Candlelight Processional Dinner package... We did it a few years ago on a night in December and loved it... This year we are planning a Thanksgiving week trip. Any help on this one??? Thanks!

Woohoo! That is when we will be there! Can you tell me what it is?? Sounds like it must be worthwhile!

Sorry, but the candlelight Processional starts the day AFTER Thanksgiving.

Oh well, we thought that would make for a nice Thanksgiving evening... Still looking for that special night.

The Candlelight Processional is a show in Epcot with a mass choir, orchestra, and a celebrity narrator telling the story of Christmas (very religous)... It is wonderful! The dinner package is a meal you pay for in advance... It gives you the meal and then you get special entrance tickets into the show... It is great because you don't have to wait on the very long lines that this events draws every evening... There is a special section of seats they save for people that purchase the package... There is 3 tiers ranging from 32.99-47.99 per adult... Children are always the same price of 14.99... The prices differ based on where you choose to eat... We eat at Le Cellier last time and were thinking about Coral Reef this time (they are both at the highest price point at Tier 3)...

It is soooo worth it to do the package because this is a not to be missed event and it is terrific to bypass long lines (IMO).... The food is wonderful and it makes for a very special night!

We are looking to book the CP dinner package for Christmas Eve this year. I read somewhere that last year you could not book the dinner package until July. Since we are going in December, should we make our ADR at the 6 month window or do we wait and make it when we book the package? We are concerned that if we wait we will not be able to get the restaurant that we want since it is such a busy time.

Thanks.

In 2006, I booked my ADR at my 180 day window. I called at opening on the first day of CP packages. As soon as I had my CP ressie complete, I gave the CM my ADR # for the original ressie so she could cancel it.
This is my plan this year as well! :thumbsup2

Yeah, we did this too, but you cannot convert your 180 day reservation into the CP package though. Just because you book an ADR for the day of the CP at 180 days does not mean you will get a CP package for that restaurant on the same day...........they block certain times for each showing of the CP; the reservation you make at 180 days will not fall into those blocks of time. Does all that make sense???

I would do what was suggested by cinderumbrella :)

That is what we did a couple of years ago and plan to do again this year :thumbsup2

Interesting... When we went the line was not long at all.... And having a guarenteed seat is great either way:thumbsup2

Yeah, we've done the package about 10 times and the lines can be quite long. It's always funny when we're standing in the CP Package line between Morocco and China having people walk by saying, this CAN'T be the OUR line! We have preferred seating! :lmao:

Is CP dinner package offered every night during the holiday season or just certain nights?

All the nights it is shown. There is one exception - I believe it's the first Sunday in December, they don't offer packages for the 5:00 show, that show is reserved for local church groups.

We went the Friday after Thanksgiving this past year. The line for CP package guests was all the way to Morocco! We were seated 3/4 of the back. It was a wonderful performance.

Exactly, you can't transfer the ressie. Make a new CP specific ressie and then cancel your old one.

Also, for those of you trying for Le Cellier for a certain date and time, I HIGHLY recommend calling as soon as the phones open on CP release date. That is the most sought after CP ressie and they go really fast!!

Actually the first show on the first Sunday in December is the Media/VIP event.

Wow...there must've been some wacky space/time continuum warp going on that night, lol. ;)

When is the CP pakage release dates for 1 - 8 December please?
