After trying for 1 hr and 40 minutes, then holding for 35 minutes I got my first choice...which happen to be the last seat for 12/3 at San Angel Inn @ 5:45 for the 8:15 show to see Whoopi.

Called this morning twice the first time Agent said there was no availability for the 6:45 show . So I booked for the 5pm Lunch 2:20 at Chefs de France. Called back 20 minutes later spoke with Shannon who was awesome there was availabilty for the 6:45 show and for my first choice of La Hacienda for a party of 6 adults dinner at 4pm She also cancelled my first ressie..

I overslept on the 26th (!) and didn't even start trying to call till 7:30. 34 tries and 40 minutes on hold (20 of which were just radio silence--which made me really nervous, but I didn't want to hang up and loose my place either), and we were booked on the day we wanted for our third choice restaurant (but we got reservations at the other two restaurants [Restaurant Marrakesh and Tutto Italia] different days, so it's all good). We've never been at Christmas before....

Pixiedust must be raining on me! I had to change our ressies from Sunday, Dec 11 to Monday, Dec 12 and was able to do so without any problem. I was able to cancel the Sunday ressie for 4:00 at Teppan Edo and change it to Monday Dec 12 4:00 PM Teppan Edo, 6:45 show. I felt blessed when I called DVC when they opened at 9:00 on the 26th for the Dec 11 ressie and had no trouble getting exactly what I wanted. Now to call again and get it changed to what I wanted again is nothing short of miraculous! The reservation clerk at DVC told me there are still a lot of open reservations for the Candlelight Processional if anybody is still looking to book or needs to change.

Q: If I have a ADR for 5 and 1 person doesn't show... would I have a penalty charge against my CC since 1 person didn't show?
