What times are the shows each night, and what time do they recommend you get the package/eat? We'd probably need the earlier dinner and then the middle show? What times would those be? And when can you buy the CP Package?

We prefer to see the 6:45 show with dinner after, around 8:00-8:15. If you have dinner before the show, I'd recommend no later than 5:00.

I have the DDE card this year, I don't think we'll buy the package. We are going Nov 26 to Dec 2, it shouldn't be a problem going standby in the middle of the week.

Oh man...I'm sorry! I hope I didn't offend you. I shouldn't have poked fun.

NO offense taken. Actually I view it as well to be said. Better someone learn from these boards then end up disappointed like me. :flower:

When you eat at the restaurant of your choice, is there a set menu? Or can you choose whatever you want? Does it include drink, app, entree and dessert? Thanks!!

Cool! We have Gary Sinise! He's DH's favorite actor!
Totally agree! I was hoping we'd get him! Pixie dust on you and me!

You can choose whatever you like off of the main menu. You get a non-alcoholic drink, app, entree, and dessert.

OT - BizeeMom, we saw Rita Moreno two years ago. I wasn't all the excited when I found out who our narrator would be, but let me tell you she did a phenomenal job. I would love to see her do it again. It looks like we'll have Steven Curtis Chapman this year. Hope he's as good as she was.

We're on the dining plan, we are paying for it. Can we use it to purchase a CP package?

We did CP last year in early December on a Tuesday (the 7th, I think) and did the dinner package. The line for standby was extremely long for the 6:45 show - a CM commented that she didn't think everyone would be able to get in. In fact, any time we were in Epcot that week on the night of a CP, the standby line was incredible. I think it's not as easy to get in standby as it has been in the past. Last December seemed to be significantly more crowded. If you don't want to take a chance, the dinner package may be a good deal. After all, you have to eat somewhere!

I think that was a night that Jim Caviezel was the narrator, he was very popular. We saw Mary Matlin on Thursday Dec 9 and had no problem with standby about 30 minutes before. We also were able to get in for Kirk Franklin on Saturday night, which I was surprised.

They usually do not allow you to purchase packages with the dining plan.

Some items are excluded. Last year, any entrees that included lobster were excluded. I suspect they will be again. The CMs that make the reservations should be able to tell you for sure.

Best wishes -

Is this event something two 18 y.o.'s would enjoy?
I guess it depends on the 18yo's. My kids (DD17, DS15) weren't raised very religious, but they do love the Christmas story, and at least one of them would like the choral music. Personally, I'd take them anyway, just because of the drama and the tie-in to the season, Christian or not. Kind of gives pertinence to the holiday visit.

Steven Curtis Chapman will be the narrator while we are there. Excuse my ignorance, but who is he? I know who all of the other narrators are. It doesn't matter, we are really looking forward to the CP regardless of who the narrator is!

He's a Christian music singer.

Is there a different seating area for each tier dinning or are the tiers just for the pricing of diner? We have not been before and looking forward to it, please explain. Thank you.

The tiers are just for dinner. For the show, everyone is seated together.

When making dinner package reservations, do you have to specify the time of the show you want to attend?

Yes, a specific show is reserved.
