Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

ok phew, got the magic wand sound again, if I get cut off again, I will just fall apart. Wait time 30 mins yet again. Please send some pixiedust that I don't get cut off, been on the phone now for almost 3 hours :faint:

Massive doses of pixiedust: good luck!!

Finally gave up calling disney dining, called DVC and YIPPEE!!

First choice in dates - Whoopi 12/11!
First choice in times! 6:45
Second Choice in Restaurant - Coral Reef! (First was Le Cellier, but that's ok!)

Feel very happy to have this done FINALLY! Have been waiting to book for months. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a question...

When I called to reserve, she asked how many adults over 18 and I said two and then she asked for the ages of my children. Now, when I emailed the confirmation to myself, it says 3 adults. Is that right? DD will be 11 when we go.

Your daughter is an adult in Disney terms. Ages 10+ are considered adults for tickets, the meal plan, and special prepaid events.

Just got through, 40 minutes on hold.
We are a party of 3- wanted Lecellier. got it on 11/28 8:15 show
There are no lecellier ressies left for 11/27, 12/2, 12/3, 12/4 party of 3 for the 6:45 or 8:15 show.
Now, I have to hope to find a Askerhaus ressie, since it was on 11/28.
good luck to all still on hold.

and now I just can't get through again, why can they not ring you back when they have taken all the details from you????

Sorry to hear about that - you can see your reservations if you've associated them with your disneyworld.com login. On the top of the main page next to "My Disney Vacation", there is a link for "My Reservations". It shows all of my reservations and confirmation numbers, but probably only works if you are logged in and associate your existing reservations with the login.

Best of luck! :goodvibes

Wow! That was fun. Those of you still able to keep dialing or waiting, please don't give up. Started at 7:00 with 2 phones involved. Consistently got rapid busy signal or circuit busy message until 8:26. When I got the dining recording I almost forgot how to respond. Had an estimated wait time of 30 minutes and waited 42. The sound of a real live person almost threw me. I was less interested in the restaurant than the date and that was fortunate. There was only 1 reservation for two available for the 8:15 performance on 12/16 and that was the Biergarten. Fine by me!:yay:
I spoke with a very pleasant young lady named Allison. She admitted that they were getting slam but said that was okay. Total grace under pressure.:)
I truly hope that all of you who have waited for today to get here are able to get through and able to secure a reservation for a time and place that makes you happy.

I want to cry!!!! I must be stuck in the queue! I'm working right now..and only have access to my cell line....I don't want to hang up...but I must be stuck....what should I do???????

spent an hour and a half trying to get through, 50 min on hold, but was able to get what I wanted sorta. Got LeCellier but had to have a lunch ressie and go to the 5:00 show.
The 8:00 show was sold out of every restruant, the 6:45 show only had Rose and Crown, and Teppan Edo, and Biergarten. Not sure what was left for the 5:00 show. This is for Saturday Dec. 5th.
I was hoping that because we don't know who will be there that night it would be easy to get into. So much for that happy thought. But still happy with what I did get.

Thank good ness for DVC! After getting a constant busy signal or all circuits are busy for two hours, I called DVC when they opened at 9 EST and was able to get through pretty quickly. Didn't get exactly what we wanted, but a close second. Since we still don't know who the narrators are the week after Thanksgiving, we actually booked two packages just in case. :)

So I said back on page 62, I think, that I got through at 7:02 and was told 30 minutes. Well, at 7:50 the CM came on and said her intro. I responded... she said nothing. Then she said her intro again. I realized she couldn't hear me, so I panicked a bit and spoke louder - then she disconnected me. :guilty:

I totally understand her reasoning and don't fault her at all - it was a busy morning for her and she had no way of knowing I could hear her. I just wish it hadn't happened. I wonder if being on hold that long and getting the flood of email updates from this thread flooded my cable service (I have phone, TV, and internet through Time Warner). It surprised me that I could still hear the on hold music, though... In any event, I was disappointed, but I didn't freak out. We'll try again tonight. I'm glad I opted to keep getting ready for work while I was on hold so it didn't make me late to work. We're trying for the 30th for the 6:45 show, but if we don't get it, we still have the dinner reservation on back-up, and we'll just show up at 4:00 and wait in line for the 5:00 show. It's not worth ruining my day about. God is good, we'll be in Disney, and we'll be together as a family.

I just wanted to share my disappointment and unfortunate experience with people I knew would understand and could commiserate. :) Glad it's working out for all of you!

I almost said the same thing. This will be my 5th xmas in a row at disney and ive seen the CP before and wouldn't mine waiting in line. However, it's my parents first time ever seeing a disney xmas and I want everything to be perfect for them.

Smallworldgirl, I have an Askerhaus on 11/29 @ 5:05 PM that I'm going to be canceling. If it works for you PM me and we'll coordinate.

Is anyone planning to cancel a Rose and Crown on 11/27 or 11/29? I'm looking for a late dinner.

Can you beg another phone off a coworker? Personally i would consider it lost and call back; both are 'chances' but even 40 minutes of busy signal is better than an endless queue! :( Are you DVC? Are you staying at a place with concierge?

Got my ressie!!

Couldn't get through on the regular line so went through DVC member services. Had a very nice girl, new I think though because she first told me all I could get for Biergarten on 11/26 was 6:45p and that 5p was showing for lunch. She finally got it all figured out and we got Biergarten for 11/26 5:05p dinner for 8:15p show. :thumbsup2

After 1 hour and 55 minutes dialing and getting a busy signal, I finally got through and was on hold for an additional 40 minutes. Made my reservation for 12/11 for 4:10 dinner and 6:45 show and thought all was good. After hanging up, I've checked my reservations online, and it doesn't give any reference to CP and it still says it would be 1 TS credit. Does this seem right?

Finally remembered I could call through DVC - minimal holding time. Got 12/10 at 3:30 p.m. for 6:45 p.m. show; 2nd choice: Chefs de France. Of course, Le Cellier was my first choice. Just hope Whoopi doesn't bail or reschedule. Wouldn't that be frustrating???

I'm pretty pleased right now!

I believe this is the pricing for 2009 (if it was pulled from All Ears it is, anyways).

People are reporting that they are paying $66.02 for tier 3 at seating 2 & 3, which would make the pricing $61.99 + tax). So, expect the prices to be a few bucks more than above.

Where are you getting your information on this? Some people are being told there are no tiers this year and that each restaurant is individually priced. And the OP's Tutto Italia price they just booked doesn't square with any of this.

We got our first choice Dec 7 at 1:50 Chef de France (husband choice) for the first showing.
From start to finish it was less than 1 hour so don't give up hope.

I am now stuck on hold with DVC. What a day, what a day!:upsidedow

Okay..

43 minutes of dialing/busy signal
47 minutes on hold
8 minutes to actually book ressie
--------------------------------
98 minutes total :scared1:

Christmas at Disney...PRICELESS!!:santa:

I booked Tutto, 12/21, 1st show. Informed told Cm, "I think, I'm good. Everybody else in the World wants Le Cellier"! CM's response?.

Good luck, everyone! pixiedust:
