Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Since this will be my first time at WDW during holiday seasons, can someone tell me if it is truly worth all this hassle and stress?

I think it's worth the stress. My sister and I did the package last year, and i'm glad we did. We got in the reservation line about 45 minutes before show time and that line was already well into the Japan section of the WSC. We ended up sitting near the top. I'm not even sure if the stand by line got in at all. We also loved the reserved section for illuminations.

Edit: I guess that I should add that since my sister is a teacher, starting last year, we had to changer our annual December trip from early December to Christmas week. It's much easier to get into the show in early December.

Good morning to other crazies!:lmao::cool1:

I was told no again!

Just called and spoke to Alysa... not very friendly. A quick "Not today." and when I asked if she knew when they may book, "Not at all, thank you" and then thank you for calling Disney Dining.

We are going 12/12-12/17 and want CP on 12/14 with Chefs de France or Le Cellier.

My CM Levi said today that narrators contracts haven't been all signed and that's what the hold up is. Said they expect to have them all signed by the end of August now, but call back 2nd week of August just to make sure.

I will still call back every morning.:surfweb:

I was told this morning that it would be mid Aug.. I wasn't going to book a CP ressie, was just trying to get a Le Cellier reservation that someone might be letting go to rebook but I talked to my mom about upgrading to Deluxe dinning and guess what. WE ARE UPGRADING!! So the 2 table service isn't such a huge things now so for convience I am going to book the package even if I don't think it is worth 2 table service. I have to many anywho so adding another to know that I am going to get a seat and see candlelight is worth it.

Hi all... When i called this morning i was told by the cm end of August... I thought he said something about just getting a memo on his desk about it, but to be honest he was a little hard to understand..

I know it might drive them crazy but im just going to keep calling back each morning.. I really have the feeling they are unsure when it will be opened and why, and just telling people something so they don't get upset...

I have to think that the "end of August" line is intended to get everyone to back off for a while.Honestly, those opportunities will sell out, whether it's to one of the early persistent callers, or to someone who just happens to luck out later. So I say keep calling.

If they are tired of people callling then they should put a note on the automated message you get when you call to make reservations.

I liken it to the time we were at Epcot on our last day of our trip last fall. We had fastpasses for Test Track..... and brace yourselves here...... when we returned it was down. :scared1: They said to come back at 2. Well, we had to leave for the airport at 1 and almost didn't try again. Then it dawned on me... if they said 2, then they probably build in some "cushion" so that not everyone would pile up in line at the same time. Sure enough. It was just opening again by 12:45. We were one of the first back in. We had our last ride and ran for the airport. :goodvibes

My point is, they probably know it will be earlier than late August and want everyone to stop calling!

i will keep checking everyday, just because they caught me completely off guard when they extended free dining, and it was just sheer luck that i happened to hop on here before i left for work and saw that it had. i would hate to miss out, and our plans aren't very flexible so we only have a few openings we could do it.

i'll keep calling every morning, too. CMs were saying july, then end of july, then august. this morning, the CM said he had no clue. was happy with his honesty :lmao: .. so, i guess they'll be hearing from me tomorrow morning .. and the next .. and the next .. :confused3

I called again tonight and was told two things. One it would be BY THE END of August and two, that it would be on the web site before the packages were sold.

Great points as it is now August first and who knows how many seconds it will be up on the website before 7 AM rolls around that day!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Honestly I don't think anyone should feel guilty about calling about the CP. It's the CM's job to help and just think of all the redundant questions that all of them must get like "How much are park tickets? What is fast past? Is there a Le Cellier open for X day?" They really shouldn't be rude about it.

Its the same here.. I have one time slot open for CP on 12-25, and thats it.. I do have a standby reservation for le celler at 8pm that day if i can't get this but i really would like to have this package... I think the thing that kills me the most is all my reservations are set, except this one.. I have my planning book made, packing list, maps, etc... everything set and this one little reservation is the last thing to finalize.. I really hate loose ends..

Well off to bed i have to call Disney at 7am.. :rotfl:

Morning everyone! Here we are again. I woke this morning and thought maybe someone that didn't know about their trip "sometime in July", or understand about advanced ADR's will find their way to this package and receive a blessing. Maybe someone will pick it up because it's a key timeframe for their Epcot day. It's possible they've never heard or read about the birth of Jesus Christ.

Did you actually actually speak to a CM who said "but shortly?" That is encouraging.

Yes-he said that they did not have availability yet-but "shortly"! Gave my tired heart a little flutter!:worship:

I got the same thing.. Nothing yet but shortly and an added, drum roll please....... If anything will happen it will be tomorrow morning...

I wounded If cm watch the boards???? Lol... I know it sounds twisted but I would for giggles.... Oh well.. Since it's my day off it's back to bed...
