Does anyone remember when WDW began taking reservations last year for the Candlelight Dinner Package? I am trying to get an idea of when I need to start watching for this to be announced. Thanks!

IIRC, it was about the middle of August. FWIW, I'm already checking in here on a regular basis to see if the CP Packages are out yet. You are not the only one anxious to get that part of the trip booked!

Stay tuned.

CarolMN--Thanks for the info. I thought it might be getting close to time! I'll being watching with you! We have never done the CP in all the years that we have being going to WDW in Dec. DH & I really looking forward to it!

Need to get our CP package booked to finish up vacation plans for first week of December.Last year we had John Tesh for our guest narrator.Still need to make some PS reservations also.:earsboy: :sunny:  :earsgirl:

Can anyone give me an idea of how these work? We are interested in eating at Germany, on Debs website for last year this is suppossed to be tier 1? Any info on this? thanks much.......goof

Do they announce the narrators before they start taking reservations? That way if your trip falls so that you have a choice of narrators, you can make your CP ressies when the narrator you'd rather see is there or do you not know the narrator until well after they start taking ressies?

the narrators are announced later in the fall. we have been lucky and have had great ones in the past. the closer to christmas the faster the dinner packages book. goofy4mickey48, you book the time you would like dinner and tell the CM which performance you would like to attend. your credit card is charged immedidately for the package. we like to do early dinner and the last performance of the evening. we just like to eat early, that 's the only reason why. in the past there has always been a shopping discount at epcot on the day you attend the performance. for the cost of the package, you get a salad or appetizer, entree, dessert and gratituty is included, but not tea or coffee. kinda strange, huh? you order off the regular menu. and you have "preferred seating" at the theatre, meaning under the roof! last year it was pouring rain; so, it was nice to be out of the weather. go for it! it makes a lovely evening out while at wdw.
