Candlelight Processional Dinner Package questions

I'm sure these answers are elsewhere, but I've not stumbled across them yet. We're booked to see the processional on 11/28, with dinner at the Pub at 5:40p. Will we be assigned a show time or do we pick? Obviously, the 8:15p would work well, where the 6:45p could be pushing it. Also, the CM said we need to pick up our tickets at any guest services location. What tickets - for the show, dinner or both? (This CM was really w/o a clue). Also, I read where soup, salad or appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage are included. Do we get to pick, within reason, or is there a set menu? Lastly, how early a) should we or b) are we required to get to the show to claim our reserved seats? Thanks for any answers!

I would not count on getting to see the 6:45 show. I read someplace that you have a specific menu to choose from for the CP dinner package but since I can't find it I wouldn't believe anything I write! How's that for advise? We are eating at the Biergarten and that is a buffet, we weren't impressed with the food at the Rose and Crown Pub. I would call back give them your confirmation# and ask what show you are supposed to attend.

We were not told where to pick up our tickets or passes for the CP. I had assumed that it would be at guest relations but it would have been nice to have been told that.

you can pick up your tickets(which is a badge you need to put on before dining so the wait staff will know you are a CP package) at either guest services at the resort or at epcot. keep in mind you are not assigned a seat, but are seated before the general public. always in the past we have ordered from the regular menu. usually you tell the CM which performance you are wanting to attend; however, i agree that the 8:15 would be the best given your PS time. :p

If you have booked your Candlelight Processional Dinner Package you have an assigned show time. My guess is that you have the 8:15 show. I don't think they wouldn't allow you to make a 5:40 PS for dinner if you had the 6:45 show. You can call Disney Dining to confirm your reservation and show time. The show time will be printed on the tickets you pick up prior to the show. Tickets for the show can be picked up at guest services at your resort (if you are staying on-site) or in Epcot (and the last few years I think they had a booth set up near the American Pavillion?). The tickets will include two items. The first is an ID for each member of your party that specifies your show time and provides you access to the reserved seating. The second item will be a confirmation and voucher for your meal. This will identify the number of people in your party and you give it to your server to pay for your meal. Any items ordered that are not covered by the package would be paid for seperately. It sounds like you didn't get the most informed or helpful CM.

As for the meal......................generally you order off the full menu, but restaurants have some discretion. For instance, we have done the package at Le Cellier several times and we just ordered off the regular menu with no restrictions. Even when non alchoholic drinks weren't included they never charged us for them. On the other hand, we did the package at San Angel Inn last year and there we were able to order our appetizer and entree off the regular menu, but the only choice they gave us for desert was the flan (some choice ;)) and they made us pay for the drinks. It seems there is no set, standard policy. There are some new restrictions this year as well, such as lobster not being covered at Le Cellier.

As for seating, we have shown up as little as 10 to 15 minutes in advance (due to parade traffic, which will not be a factor this year) and were seated. However, even package people will be lining up long before that and the sooner you get in line, the sooner you get in, and the better the seats you are likely to get. There really aren't any bad seats unless you get stuck behind a tree. We usuall try and show up about 30 minutes in advance just so we aren't rushing around.

DisneyKidds, thanks for taking the time to write that thorough answer. I called back and got a good CM and learned that we do indeed have tickets for the 8:15pm show. We staying on property, so I'll pick my tickets up well in advance. I should have hung up and called back when I got that clueless CM, but I didn't because I was on hold for so long.

So, that's that! Now, I hope the show is grand and we get a great narrator!

Glad you got everything cleared up. Don't worry, the show WILL be grand.............and the narrators are always great. We have seen a half dozen different people narrate the show and each brings a different style and feel. That is why we try and see the show two or three times while we are there.

I have a question on this part too? Do you get a soup AND either a salad or appetizer or do you only get your choice of 1, either the soup, salad or appetizer? I was under the impression you only got 1, but then I recently saw it worded differently. Anyone know(specifically for Le Cellier)? Thanks!

I booked mine last night and the CM started out by asking me which show I wanted to see. I picked the 8:15PM show and then she suggested a PS time (5PM) that she felt would allow me enough time to eat and get to the show. She also told me that I could pick up my tickets at any guest services window or when I checked into AKL.

I'm really looking forward to the show (and dinner :teeth: ) ... this will be our first time going!

Only 1 is included. You can add another one and pay for it. I've heard of people getting the cheese soup at LeCellier as a second item and paying for it there.

Just a quick tip - the package entitles you to a seat at the Processional, but not necessarily a covered seat - remember that if it happens to be raining the night you go - I speak from experience!!
Regardless, it was a wonderful show - even with soggy undies!
