Candlelight Processional Dining Packages can be booked starting October 29

Yes, I am aware it’s an outdoor venue with a roof which is where the ticketed guests sit. That’s what I meant by “within” . Hope I better explained 🙂
Ah, I was worried about that.

Alas, no. That is not accurate. If it’s a popular narrator there will be very few seats under the covered part as that area gets roped off for VIPs, so ticketed guests will be in the upper section without the cover. (I just didn’t want anyone expecting to be under the cover because they have dining tickets.)

I saw dining guests getting seated after NPH started. If you have a dining ticket you will be seated- the seat could suck and be behind a tree but you’ll get in.
Lol I guess that is technically “a seat”. There are more than a few seats in that regard.

Knock on wood, we’ve always been fortunate in our seating for the pkg but, we do make sure to arrive early.

You have the English language down pat and a remarkable memory for minutiae; nothing for you to worry about.

We are new to the CP at WDW (have enjoyed the one at DLR). I just signed up to pay what for us is a fortune for the dining package for 6 people. Plus we only have one day at Epcot where we've never been. I plan on telling my party we need to be there 30 min before showtime I don't care what seats we get, we just care about the music and being able to hear the story. We also happen to have NPH because that's the only day we could go to Epcot but I honestly don't care who the narrator is.

The line often stretches back to France before they start seating folks with dining packages. I get on line early since if I’ve paid for the special pass, I want a good seat. Interestingly even an hour early, I’ve never been first on line! Lol
We went many years ago only 30 minutes ahead. Almost got obstructed seats as the dining package line was so long (we were in line near Spice Road Table), Unfortunately, they began to let standbys in from the other side before we got to our seats (they have a time deadline to fill the theater). We narrowly avoided sitting in obstructed seats (behind one of the columns).

We have done the CP for years now and will continue to, I do wish they would have assigned seats/seating area if you have the package, that way you do not have to get in line early. However, it is very nice at night over there, can watch Spaceship Earth light up, we always grab some hot chocolate and some cookies from festival booths. Kids are now old enough, we can let them look around the countries and come back before they start letting people in. I remember years ago, I took a survey and they specifically asked about assigned seats for the CP. Still hoping they get back to that thought.

Here is a thread from last year where some of us listed our experiences with dining package lines/waits last year. I did half an hour on NPH night, I do recall waking to the other side of the theater when I got in as it was less crowded.

Interesting thought. I imagine identifying individual seats might be a challenge given the bench seating, but sections might be a possibility. Though I can't imagine making booking these even more complicated! Would certain restaurants get certain sections? Or as you're booking you pick show time, restaurant and section? I absolutely agree it's a pain to wait in the line when you have the package. I don't much care about where we sit but it gets tough toward the end trying to find a seat as so many have staked out their perfect view on the bench and don't want to scoot in either direction to make room for another group.

Labor is at a premium nowadays and policing seating assignments would take a lot of CMs. Not happening.

Has anyone been able to confirm that you can use the Dining Plan for CP dining packages? Someone on page 1 mentioned they were in the past but 2 credits. Wouldn't be worth it for our Spice Road Table reservation if that is the case.

I found this when I pushed “View Dining Plans” when trying to make a Candlelight Dining Package Reservation for Spice Road Table, it showed me thisIMG_1495.png

Yeah, I saw that too. I don't know why, but I didn't trust it. I think I'll screenshot or give Disney a call. Thanks!
It’s hard to trust it because Disney puts it in such as obscure place! Why can’t they clearly state it in the information on the CP Dining package?
