Candlelight processional and fireworks?

I was wondering if anyone that's been for the Candlelight processional can tell me how this typically affects the fireworks for the evening.

Our trip happens to fall on a likely date for the 2014 candlelight processional, and we already know to expect crowds. But will there be normal fireworks in the evening, do the crowds thin out?

Right now we're just planning to avoid it by heading to California Adventure, but wanted to double check.

The heavy crowds are in the Town Square area. The rest of the park really isn't bad. Fireworks will go off normally, which is about 45 mins after the end of the second processional.

Just to clarify -- the dates for the CP are not "likely." They are definite/confirmed, and were confirmed back in July when they went up on the Disneyland Events website (which was then posted and discussed in the Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread). Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th are the dates. In fact, just 2 days ago I posted a summary of everything that has been confirmed and made official about the upcoming holiday season thus far, including the CP -- HERE.
