Hi! I'm going to WDW 12/9-15/07. I've gotten the Candlelight Processional Dinner package twice and have eaten at San Angel Inn both times. We're celebrating our 10th Anniv. this time and would like to try something different. San Angel is romantic as it's dark and you can sit next to the water but does anyone have a good recommendation for another restaurant that is available with the CP? Thanks.

Okay, so I'm guessing the Coral Reef is primarily seafood and LeCellier is steaks right? (Sorry if that's a dumb question). By the way, if you haven't been to San Angel Inn, it is a good place to eat. Also, any recommendations for good dinner restaurant at MK? We'll probably plan to do MK the same day that we do the MVMCP. I've been to WDW 9 times but the only table service restaurant I've eaten in is SAI. Terrible isn't it? In past times, we've been on a really tight budget and have just made sandwiches and snacks to put in backpacks. I was always more interested in spending my $$ in MouseGear or Downtown Disney than on food (except Ghiradelli's in DD).:mickeybar

We like Liberty Tree Tavern at MK for MVMCP. It's served family-style, at your table.

You could do Crystal Palace for dinner as well. That's a buffet.

If you prefer a menu, you can go to Tony's, but I do not like their menu or their prices.

Cindy's is real pricey as well, but for a 10th anniversary, maybe you are ready to splurge?

There are not a lot of table service places at MK. Plaza Restaurant...no experience eating there, but their menu is rather limited.

You can always hit one of the monorail resorts for dinner as well. We like Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.

Coral Reef has a variety steaks, Fish and seafood. Le Cellier also has pan seared chicken and such too. I do believe Garden Grill is also available on CP package and it is a family style you might want to check into it also.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I know it seems a bit early to be making dinner plans but WDW is accepting dinner reservations for December. I'm trying to get all this figured out to make sure we save up enough $$ to do all the things we want. This will probably be a once in a lifetime trip (but not our last) so I'm trying to get in everything I've always wanted to do at WDW but haven't been able to.

Le Cellier gets my vote. The food is excellent. Le Cellier is always our pick for CP.

Okay. Le Cellier seems to be the winner. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Quick question ... can you book your cp ressie now, or are you just booking dinner and then changing it later to the CP package?

Thanks

I inquired about the CP pkg, they said it will be released in AUG. they hold enough tables back for the packages. We are going to try the San Angel one seems fun.
Chris

Yes, you should try San Angel Inn for CP. Nice ambience. Be sure to request a table by the water. ( I don't think you can do that til you actually get to the restaurant so go a little early). The food is a bit spicy in case that's an issue.

This may not be the most "romantic" spot, but we truly enjoyed the Japanese Steak House at Epot, forgive me, because I can't give you the name, but we sat at a table with several other folks, and we met the most wonderful young couple from Alabama that was staying at CSR resort, they rode back with us, as we'd driven our rental car, and it was a delightful evening! When we left the restaurant, the entire park was DESERTED, as we'd had late ADR's, and as we were winging our way towards the exit I was thinking, "man, if I just knew how to work Mission Space and Test Track, what a night this would be!" The food was above excellent, the price wasn't bad, and we made new friends, which is one of the things that I love about Disney!

Hi! Thanks for the info. My DD and I were at Epcot for one (sigh) day in Dec. 06. We watched Illuminations then kinda lagged behind after the show. There were very few people in the park, and it was really neat just looking at all the buildings and things without the crowd. And, yes, I had the same thought about the test track. My very favorite ride without a doubt. (Just not long enough). I'd make the 9 hour drive from AL just to ride that.

I would go for Les Chefs de France. My DW and I always enjoy dinner there. We did the package twice with CdF when they included a 15% discount on EPCOT merchandise purchased that day in the package, but now we just dine where we want OOP (with the DDE discount, of course ;) ) and wait in line for the CP. We have not had a problem getting a seat yet and you are not "locked in" if it's bad weather. (We had a light rain a couple of times.)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've had so many that it's just hard to decide. We've always gotten the CP package. Hate to sound dumb but is there another advantage to getting the package other than advanced seating?

Well, its a fixed price dinner, no matter what you get. Appetizer, entree and dessert, with non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip included. But we've always added extra to the tip for good service.

it looks like we'll be there at the same time. most of my adr's are already booked, including Le Cellier at 7pm on 12/12.:cool1: Let us know what you finally decide and if you cancel any ADR's.:hippie:
