Planning a trip this December to see the Osbourne Lights. I wanted to book the Candle Light Processional Lunch or Dinner package, and I read that it is 2 TS credits? Is it worth 2 credits? I just took a trip in September and was planning to make this a 'budget' trip so not looking to pay for any extras this time around.

TIA!

I would say yes, it is only way you can assure your family a seat. It is a great event, the only other way I can advise you is to get in standby line at least 2 or 1 1/hours before show you want to see . The narrator speaking will have a effect on crowd levels.

yes but we usually do Beirgarten OOP for lunch it is much more reasonable

WE just returned from an expensive trip so when I planned a last minute one to see the Lights one last time I also wanted a bare bones, no frills trip...but we did book the CP package and will pay OOP. I think if you want to ensure you do not spend hours in line this is the best way to go. I will say taht I have simply waited at the entrance and watched the show from there. It was just as nice, but it is a long stand.

I don't think it's worth two credits, but it's worth the price. Very few meals are worth two credits, but that's because the dining plan is very often more expensive than just paying cash for your meals.

One adult TS dining credit is roughly worth $38. The only CP pkg that comes close to breaking even on that is Les Chefs. So, if you're just looking at monetary value, then, NO, the CP pkg is NOT worth 2 TS credits.

I think the reason they made it 2 credits is they want people paying out of pocket for it, especially locals. If it was 1 credit, people on the dining plan would be booking up the reservations. You also get an appetizer with the package, which you don't get with a regular table service credit.

Thanks so much all! My trip is only 4 nights and burning 2 TS didn't make sense to me. I never considered paying OOP and was going to book Chefs just for the value although I don't like french food. I'm now going to find the cheapest lunch option and pay OOP--this is why I love the DIS :)
