Hey Peeps

We have dining package for Neil Patrick Harris night. We are not too worried about the quality of seats - just want to ensure we get in. I have heard there can be long lines, even for those who have reserved seat from dining package. Is it ok to arrive just say 20mins before show time? Looking for advice on when to arrive

Yes, there can be long lines for the more popular performers. When we are going, we try to keep an eye on the line and if it gets back toward Japan, we go ahead and get in. Most of the time that is putting us in line between 3:30 and 4:00 for a 5pm show (we usually opt for the cheaper lunch package). I am not sure exactly when they open the stand by side to be seated, but you would want to be sure you are in the theater before that happens, especially when there is a popular narrator. I think 20 minutes for NPH would be cutting it very close. I would probably give it a minimum of 30, and probably closer to 45 minutes.

We were told to get there 15 minutes before our 5pm NPH show last year. When we got in line, it was backed up to the crepe cart in France! We ended up with terrible seats nowhere near each other (there were 2 of us and an infant), and my 'seat' was actually about 6 inches on the end of a bench behind a tree. There were people behind us in the dinner package line who didn't get seats and were told to come back for a later show, it was crazy.

I would take a look at the line about an hour before show time and see how it looks. If it's getting long, I would jump in line then, but I would leave it no less than 30 minutes before the show.

We have never lined up less than 30 minutes before show time. We've gotten good seats, but I wouldn't want to chance anything less.

For NPH I would be in line at least an hour before the show.

The first time we saw NPH, we lined up about 45 minutes before. We were backed up between Japan and Morocco and we had great seats! We were in the first row of the second section. Last year when we lined up for NPH we got in line maybe 20 minutes before and we were definitely in Morocco, closer to France, but we still had great seats. We were in the back, but there were these small trees planted so the aisle was wider and just enough space for the DGDs to play quietly in and not bother anyone. The trees were small and not an obstruction. The line moves quickly. I believe the last 10 minutes they start letting in standby.

LOL, having 2 little ones with us I was glad to be in the back. First, we had the leg space to allow them to get down without disturbing anyone, and 2, when the 20 month old decided she's had enough, being in the back allowed me to make a quick and less distracting exit. That said, the whole processional is beautiful!

We always head to the line at least 40 mins prior to start time. For the more popular narrators, and NPH is one of the most popular, we head there an hour prior.
We seldom get any closer than Japan!! But I'm not standing in that line for more than an hour!!

This! (Again.)
