Candelight Processional.. How crowded is it?

I just realized that I booked a trip during the weekend of the Candelight Processional (dec 1-2). I have heard that it is pretty crowded during that time. How crowded is it really??? Is it all day crowded or only more at night crowded?
We have AP's, so I am not worried about not seeing everything for us, but my mom is coming with us and I wanted a more "peaceful" trip for her and the grandsons... If it were you, would you reschedule for a different weekend in December?

We were at the parks a couple of years ago during CP. Main St was packed in the afternoon/evening, but we just headed over to DCA for a more "peaceful" environment.

YOU should be fine....It gets crowded like from 5 or 6pm on Main Street. If you want to see the CP..get tickets for the dinner/CP package so your mom does not have to stand..that is if she wants to see the show....If you like you could go to CA at like 5 and then return to DL after 8:30...to avoid any crowds.

Since I plan on making ressies for the fantasmic priority seating, I guess that the early evening time would be a good time for a sit down dinner.
