Candele at Via Napoli

Who has had this? Is this basically a meat lasagna? VN has vegetable lasagna on the menu and Candele right below it. The description and even the pics looks and sounds alot like a sausage meat lassagna. Please chime in if you have had this. Tutto Italia has the meat lasagna which is probable more ground beef based instead of sausage ragu like the candele. But the rest of the menu at TI does not fit my family's taste. I am so up in the air about this. Of course I can find something else on VN menu for myself, but I really got a hankering for some lasagna. Thanks in advance!!

I had the candele and it was delicious. The best way for me to describe it is like a baked ziti. I am not a big sausage fan but I loved it. The sauce was flavored with ground bits of sausage not big chunks. Hope that helps.

I had the candele which is like a baked ziti with sausage meatballs (or sausage balls), ricotta that is so thick and creamy and mozzarella. This dish was excellent and a bit rich but I was able to kill off the entire plate

I had the candele and loved it. Mickey Nicki's description is perfect. I'll definitely be going back for this dish.

I was the one that said it was rich. It is very heavy, very filling, TONS of heavy cheese and sausage
