I'm off to Cancun in just three weeks!

What should I see there? What is there to do, besides hang out on the beach? Any tips? I'm so used to researching everything about WDW, it is weird to be going somewhere new!

Go to www.tripadvisor.com if you haven't been already and check out the Cancun forums. There is tons of great information on those forums!

Are you actually staying in Cancun or Playa del Carmen? We went to Playa for the first time last year and loved it! I was really close tonight to changing our kidless trip to WDW (staying at the GF for the first time) and instead going back to Mexico, but I couldn't do it.

We only did one excursion to Aqua World and it was ok. I would have rather gone to Xcaret or Xel-Ha for a better experience. Our excursion was 30 minutes out on a waverunner to a reef where we parked and snorkeled for about 30 and then road the waverunner back.

What resort are you staying at? I can't wait to go back! We are taking the kids next year and then going back in 2008 for our 10 year anniversary.

Be sure to visit Tulum while you are there. You should be able to book a tour through your hotel.

We really enjoyed Xcaret when we did our cruise last year. It's a beautiful ecological park. There's an undergound river you can snorkel thru. We also did Sea Trek, which was an awesome experience! It's the next best thing to actually scuba diving!
It's located just south of Playa Del Carmen.
