I am planning a 5 day trip to Cancun with my friends in February. We haven't booked yet but are wanting to do an all inclusive package. I would love to get some helpful insights as to which resort to stay at, who to book through and any sightseeing advice you could give me.
Thanks!!!

How old are you? Are you couples or singles? Have you checked Apple Vacations; they have good charters from several cities in the U.S. Sightseeing is good there and IF you are VERY adventurous, there are some really cool spots way south of Cancun-south of akumal even. I would stay at least near Playa de Carmen but really Akumal is a great spot for some real adventure tours.

Thanks for the information. We are 4 moms and wives getting away for a much needed vaction. :woohoo:

our DD got married in Playa del Carmen...we felt very safe there and had a blast. We stayed at Riu Palace Mexico. Cheapcaribbean.com has great prices.

We just got back from Dreams Riviera Cancun and had the best vacation ever!!!!! (it was our 5th trip to that area)

I have almost 2K in disney credit and everyone just wants to go back to Mexico!

When we went a few years ago we used Apple Vacations and stayed at the Moon Palace. We loved it there! :thumbsup2

We stayed at the Dreams in Cancun and loved it!! I would stay at a Dreams Resort in a heartbeat!

Are you wanting to stay at an adults-only AI? Cancun isn't known for them. The Sun Palace, The Royal Cancun, and Le Blanc are a few, but other than that, most accept kids.

If you head further south, from Puerto Morales to Playa del Carmen, you'll find lots of nice, adults-only AI's. The only drawback, is the water isn't as pretty as it is in Cancun, and while there is nightlife in PDC, it won't compare to what you'll find in Cancun.

It really all depends on what you're looking for.
