Okay, I have never posted on this board before, but I figured this was the best place for me to get some answers. I was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma on August 28. I am looking for people that have had this type of cancer (mine is in my right leg, tumor that has eaten into the bone, and possible spots on my sternum and lymph nodes in my neck, although the doc is not positive about those) or anyone that has gone through CHOP chemo (can't remember the names of the drugs right now). I had my first chemo last Thursday, so far have felt great, and I am hoping that great feeling will last, as I would like to get back to work at some point in time (I have been off work for 5 weeks now). Right now I am just hoping that my attitude can carry me through this time. Any help would be truely appreciated!

No answers for you on the chemo treatments. But, just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you. ((HUGS))

Sorry I cant help with the chemo questions I just wanted to let you know that a positive outlook helps tremendously, I went through thyroid cancer and my husband went through testicular cancer. My husband had the best outlook on it, if he got down you sure couldnt tell. I had thyroid cancer which spread into other glands, I had a positive outlook through it and was determined to beat it. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery:hug:

Hi! Welcome to the Community Board! I do not have the answer to your question, but I will remember you in my prayers! Good Luck and please keep us posted on how it goes!!!!!
Glad you are feeling good! :)

I cant give you any info either, but giving you some prayers to help you beat this thing

I don't have any info either. My SO's uncle took chemo after his prostate cancer, and he felt fine after his chemo. Everyone told him he'd be sick as a dog. He said he got queasy right after the treatment, but didn't actually get sick.

Good luck in your treatment.

My brother had chemo, but not for lymphoma, it was for colon cancer.

He felt great after the first few treatments.

May I ask how you were diagnosed with this?

Good luck in your treatment. Keep us posted.

I am praying for you and can tell you that my good friend at work is going through chemo right now. She has had 4 of 8 treatments. She has missed only 2 days of work and one of those was for her lumpectomy. She has gone totally bald, but her outlook has been, for the most part, really upbeat. She says the drugs they give you for nausea and fatigue are really great.

{{hugs}} and keep us posted!

I just wanted to offer {{{HUGS}}} and let you know that your positve attitude will help you through this.

We have a poster, Steve, whose wife has been through chemo or radiation or both. Maybe he will be able to offer some advise. He just moved and I am not sure he has internet at home yet.

Is that some kind of shepherd?

I had breast cancer. I didn't have to do chemo or radiation, but I take Tamoxifen. I do have many friends (and relatives for that matter) who have had chemo and radiation. It's not nearly as tough as it used to be. As someone said, they have great meds for nausea.

Keep a postive outlook and keep us informed. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I believe in the power of positive thinking. Hugs.
