Cancelling Trip

If we want to cancel & re-book our vacation (we still have 3 months till we go) is there a cancellation or change fee? We are interested in going from moderate to value. Yes, we did book a pkg ( free dining). The only info I could find was if you cancelled 44 days or less from arrival date. TIA

Cancel 44 days or less and its $200. 45 days or more and no cancel fee. Anything paid is refunded. You could just change your resort without cancelling if you wanted.

Unless you want to change your package to a room only, there is no reason to cancel and rebook. You can just modify your current package to the package you now want.

no charges if befor 45 days so try and change it sooon as you can.. depends on what kind of package you have it they refund or just move the deposit over to the new booking. have had them do it both ways in 65 trips we have taken

Be aware that since the free dinning offer for your time frame expired 5/18/12, you may lose that when you switch to a value resort. There are currently % off room rate discounts for some value resorts, 15% for movies and 20% for the other all stars (not the new one) which you could get. Also, Disney may open another free dinning offer, they have in the past. Here's a link showing current discounts, including a code for Canadian residents, it also shows historical discounts, to give you an idea of what Disney might offer for your planned vacation.

No need to cancel and rebook. In fact, if you do that, you will lose your free dining. Just call and have the Res Center modify your original package. Since it's an expired code and your are modifying to an entirely different one (value FD had a different code) Guest Services will more than likely have to handle it. Remember you only get QS free with that original FD value pkg. But you can upgrade to the plus, just pay the difference!

Thanks everyone!! I will try to call tonight. They have opened up another free dining offer, it's on the Disney website, I priced it out last night at home for Pop. It will save us $700, which we could use right now!!

Where do you see the new FD offer? I'm not seeing it on their website under special offers. Not asking for myself, as I already have a PIN for FD in the fall. Just asking for a friend who wants to go in the fall during FD and didn't get a PIN. We've been watching for FD deals closely! lol.

I believe it is a Canadian only offer she is referring to.

I don't think it's a Canadian offer, I just went on the website , you have to click "all special offers" then It says "new summer offers are here" , the first one listed is free dining , book till Sept 15, I'll post a link shortly.

It isn't there. The only place I see a free dining offer is on the Canadian site.
