Hi All :headache:

Been on cancelling our adr's, hotel, flights, car hire etc etc etc..... (due to my poor Dh not being well enough to fly because he has to have a triple heart bypass op) they have the nerve to charge me for the privilege of NOT flying with them/staying with them, visiting their parks or hiring their cars:scared1: Wheres the logic?:confused3 Well, we're gonna have to try and get some money back through our insurance but we are gonna loose 100% of the money paid to Virgin for the 2xDiscovery Cove Choice swim and 1xnon swim inc free Seaworld pass! Not to mention Orlando Magic Basketball tix x3!!!!!

Sorry:sad1: just needed to rant! It's so unfair, i bet they get our tix sold to someone else and make double the profit  It's bad enough that we can't go now but to add insult to injury by penalising us when we can't help not being able to fly, it's not just a whim, we have a genuine reason.......:headache:

Thanks for listening

As long as all tickets were purchased before the illness and you have confirmations ie emails or letters to show it was booked the insurance company should pay for everything minus the excess per person which should be quite low. I had to cancel in December the day before we were due to fly as I got kidney stones and my insurance company paid out no problem and were really helpful.

Hope all goes well :)

Claire ;)

Thanks for the prompt reply Claire, i'm just about to look into the small print on the insurance form, we are waiting for the letter from the doc before we can do much about getting any money back.

Thanks again xXx

The insurance company will probably send a form for the GP, of your DH, to fill in so get onto them tomorrow and ask what you can claim for.

Claire ;)

I feel so sorry for you. It must be awful to have to cancel everything. Hopefully the money you lose will be minimal.

sending a big :hug:hope you get your money back via insurance

I'm sure that you should be able to claim it back through the insurance company as when i was due to go DLP in 2004 my friend got very sick and we couldnt go and she got a letter from her doctor and we got all our money back.

Hope your DH gets better soon

I know when my DH mum died the day before we were due to fly out we got all our monies back for tickets etc :goodvibes

It is a horrible thing to do but at least your DH will be well enough to enjoy the trip when you do get back

Such a horrible thing for you to have to do. Hope your DH's op goes OK and he is well on the road to recovery soon. Hope everything works out with the insurance as well :goodvibes

What a horrible task. I hope you are able to claim it all back.:wizard:

Oh Audrey, Im so sorry to hear this, its dissapointing for you as it is, and to lose money on top of all the worry is soul destroying, I do hope all goes well with your husbands operation and that you can recoup back some of your money, best wishes:hug::hug::hug:

Hope you can get all your money back :wizard:

Such sad news hun =( hope you manage to get all ur money back.

So sorry to hear about your DH,I agree with other's you should be covered for all monies to be refunded.
Wishing you all the best.
And hope the OP goes smoothly.

Am sending you a huge hug, I can imagine how hard this must be.

I am confident you will get all your money back minus the excess on the insurance so try not to worry too much about that. you have a very genuine and valid reason for not going.

Oh Audrey ,as others have said,i am also pretty confident you're insurance will pay out.Good Luck :wizard:,take care.x.

I don't know what to say because my thoughts are the same as other have already said but will send some pixie dust for you both and a hug :grouphug:
pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Don't worry this will all get sorted out, the insurance company will cover the costs minus the excess. It is an extremely stressful time for you so sending lots of

How is your DH today? Sending him lots of pixiedust:

Remember we are all here for each other to vent our frustrations and worries out and hopefully make each other feel a little bit better.:grouphug:
