Cancelling Mini Golf Reservations

I'm pretty sure that I know the answer to this question, so maybe I'm just venting here. But perhaps someone knows a trick . . . .

We have a mini-golf reservation at Winter Summerland for later this month. It looks like I'm going to have to cancel it. I waited on hold for about 3 hours just to book it. I really don't want to wait on hold for another three hours to cancel it.

As I understand it, my options for cancelling are: (1) call Disney now and suffer through hours on hold (listening over and over again to old recording promoting Boo Bash and Food and Wine -- seriously, Disney?!); (2) go to either Guest Services in the parks or the concierge service in my hotel when I get there; or, I guess, (3) eat the no-show cost.

I really don't want deal with calling Disney right now. And I hate wasting precious vacation time in line at Guest Services.

Does anyone know of another option? Maybe an email address that would work to cancel? Or some other shortcut? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I agree with PP, just cancel it once you arrive at your resort concierge desk. Just make sure to do it at least one day before the tee time.

I haven't done WDW minigolf in ... almost 20 years. Are reservations needed? I thought I'd take the kids on our non-park day but definitely not if we need to schedule it.

I know I've said this in another thread - but I found whichever Fantasia course I played (I know there are two) to be incredibly difficult for this very amateur player (and that's when I took it halfway seriously, playing with a peer - this time, I'll be playing with two kids who rarely make it past hole 9). Is Winter Summerland similar in that one course is more advanced? I clicked the toddlers and preschool link at the bottom of the page (thanks @scrappinginontario) but it was for more general WDW info.

We've played all courses except the 'greens' course at Fantasia. We play them for fun and started when my daughter was probably 4yo.

To us miniature golf is a fun, family activity and we just enjoy ourselves and don't really concern ourselves with scores. As my daughter has matured we've started keeping scores but for the first few years it was 'anything goes' as long as it did not interfere with other teams around us.

I don’t know about preschoolers, but Winter Summerland is an easier set of courses than even the “normal” mini golf at Fantasia Gardens. Last time we played at Summerland we were a group of adults and found the theming enjoyable but the courses MUCH too easy.

The WinterSummerland courses are nothing like the advanced course at Fantasia. They are traditional, fun-themed courses.

Do you need reservations? We played Winter Summerland (winter side) in October. Got there about 8:30 and got right in. No reservations and we weren't even asked if we had any. It's a tradition of ours to go on our arrival night. I will say I was disappointed that many of the props weren't working. Squirty was though!

We've played there for 20 years without reservations and to be honest never knew you were able to book reservations. I guess you always learn something new. Just out of curiosity, can you book online, or do you have to call?

We are local and have the water park and golf passes. I have never made reservations. We just show up. It's typically busier in the evenings.

We have only played Fantasia- I had no idea there was a difference in challenge level. My husband and I like the “hard” 😂 course when it’s just us, but it’s definitely a more challenging mini-golf for kids or beginners. I also didn’t know one could to make reservations, nor would I.

We typically stop by after a morning at DHS or if we’re staying at the Boardwalk. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. But, there are new hotels popping up all the time. People need options, I guess!

I had taken a friend and bragged about being good at mini golf - and then I stumbled onto that course and don't know if I hit a ball in the hole the entire day. I LOVE Fantasia and that was the only saving grace, lol
