Cancelling/changing reservation with OTU points

I know OTU points expire at the end of the use year, but if you cancel a reservation using OTU points, do the points just go back into your account and are available to use for reservations later that year? If you just want to change the dates or resort, is it easier to just modify the reservation? Can these actions be done online or do you need to call member services like when you first buy the OTU points?

Yes, you can use OTU points for other reservations, as long as those other reservations were not made during a home resort booking period.

If trying to book a new one, then you simply will check the temporary contract they are in...it will show up when you go to book....and the system will pull them...you want to be sure that you have that contract checked first so that it will take them before any of your current UY points...banked and borrowed points of your own will always be taken first, even if the OTU contract is checked first...
