I have all of my adr's for an upcoming trip. We are on the free dining plan and booked them via the website.

since this is our first trip onsite, I am not sure how well we are going to be able to stick to these plans. I can see us having so much fun where we are, that a restaurant ADR may not be convenient.

We have a few "must-do's" and those we will work around. However, I am finding this difficult to plan ADR's in advance. Just a little background....We love Mexican All Inclusives, but have learned to stick with the ones (like Dreams, Secrets) that don't require dinner reservations for ala carte dining.

I wouldn't want to be a "no-show", how long do I have to cancel one? Will we "charged" a credit if we don't cancel within a certain time?

At most of the restaurants in DW there is no penalty for missing an ADR. As a courtesy, however, it is considerate to cancel the reservation as soon as you know you will not be using it.

The only restaurants where you will incur a penalty are the ones that asked you for a credit card number when you made the reservation. For a prepaid reservation such as CRT you would lose the entire prepaid amount. At other locations there is a penalty charge of either $20 or $10 person depending on the venue. Also, at all of these credit card guaranteed locations the cancellation deadline is 48 hours in advance so changing your mind on the day of will be too late.

I totally agree with this. We had a few ADR's that we didn't keep this past trip. We either had the concierge cancel our ADRs for us or we contacted the restaurant directly to let them know we would not be arriving.

thank you. I would call and cancel once we knew it wouldn't be possible to make. When I made the vacation reservation, the CM told me to book ADR's on line using the booking number so credit cards wouldn't be needed. I have 6 regular table service (ohana, 50's prime time for instance) and one buffet (boma). Was I given the right info?

If I know we are completely committed to a certain ADR, I will absolutely make sure we are there. Ohana and Le Cellier are keepers!

any info is always appreciated!!!!

We at times have not been able to use our ADRs and we try to cancel in advance. What we have also done in the past is give it to someone who just walked up to the restaurant and could not get a table. It seems like the nice thing to do.
