cancelling a rental car

I booked my rental car through WDW, I have found a better rate. Do I have to cancel before I arrive? Or can I turn in the voucher when I arrive? Leaving me the option to take either car depending on how busy the counters are?

I would call and ask what the cancellation policy is. While many rental companies you can cancel right up to time of rental or just not show up, I know on some things I've done with National through EA, they say 24 hours is necessary or you get charged a day.

It sounds like you booked a package and pre-paid for the rental car. You need to contact the Disney and discuss this with them. It may not be refundable. I would NOT just assume you can turn the voucher back in when you arrive and pick up a car from another company. You could wind up paying for two cars.

Yes I did pre-pay with Disney. I talked to a CM last week and was told to mail in voucher for credit. Yesterday they told me to bring in the unused voucher at checkin and I would get credit minus $50 cancel fee. Inconsistent info

I just want to know if I would wind up paying for two cars if Disney doesnt give credit at checkin.
